We are seeking a Grant and Program Coordinator to complete the following tasks:
Responsibilities and tasks:
• Project and Grant Development
1. Designing innovative ideas for educational projects that contribute to improving the education sector.
2. Preparing project proposals in coordination with the team and the board of directors.
3. Analyzing field needs and providing recommendations based on data.
• Grant and Project Management
1. Monitoring the implementation of grants and ensuring compliance with donor requirements.
2. Preparing detailed work plans and budgets and monitoring their implementation.
3. Monitoring the quality of project execution and evaluating its impact to ensure sustainability.
• Representing the initiative and partnerships
1. Representing Abjad Initiative at events and conferences.
2. Strengthening the network of relationships with local and international partners to develop joint projects.
• Team Management and Coordination
1. Supervising teams and ensuring goal achievement.
2. Supporting and motivating volunteer teams to achieve the desired results.
3. Preparing and coordinating events and conferences organized by the initiative.
4. Following up on matters related to the legal framework for Abjad’s presence in Syria.
Required Educational Qualifications and Experience:
• Relevant university degree (Management, Education, International Development).
• At least 3 years of experience in project or grant management.
• Working Experience with NGOs or volunteer initiative
• Strong knowledge of donor requirements and best practices in project management.
• Proficiency in both Arabic and English, with excellent report writing skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Microsoft Teams.
• Proficiency in using modern project management tools and related software.
• Values and principles: Commitment to transparency, accountability, good governance, adherence to humanitarian principles, and respect for diversity.
