BINAA is looking for a Grant Assistant, based in Gaziantep/Turkey.

Job Purpose:

Support the grants managers in preparing and tracking grants documents to ensure full compliance with BINAA policies and procedure within donors and partners regulations

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES Key Activities/Tasks/Duties:

• Review projects documents and ensure compliance with donor/partner regulations
• Ensure complete archiving for grants documents (hard & soft copies).
• Screening employees and vendors names at watchlist.
• Assist in preparing necessary document for external and internal audits.
• Supporting financial department with necessary documents to prepare periodic financial reports.
• Assist Grants manager in meetings (call for meetings – prepare minutes of meeting).
• Attend and report procurement committees.

• Assumes additional responsibilities as assigned.

Note: the above-mentioned key responsibilities/accountabilities are illustrative ones, another future responsibility /accountability may be assigned to the job depending on the department organizational chart.

Required Qualifications (Education/Languages/Work Experience):

A. Essential:

• Bachelor’s degree, Business administration/accounting is preferred.
• Ability to prepare and review high quality reports.
• Advanced understanding of accountability principles, gender, age, diversity, protection, human vulnerability, and other cross-cutting issues.
• Good skills in the English language.
• A minimum of one-year experience in a similar position.
• A minimum of one-year experience in humanitarian work, and principles, donors’ policies and procedures.

B. Desirable:

• Good administration skills.
• Intermediate skills in the English language.
• Pre-intermediate skills in the Turkish language

General Requirements:

• Residency permit in Turkey (Applicants with Turkish nationality will be prioritized).
