Our mission in the DRC has existed since 2001. PUI is developing its integrated approach with projects in primary health and the fight against malnutrition. PUI intervenes in Ituri with projects in health nutrition, and in North Kivu through an integrated approach in health emergency nutrition complemented by activities in food security..

And the.the Grants Coordinator in all this?

As the Grants Coordinator, you will be responsible for IUP programs. You will ensure that the grant proposals, donor reports and internal reports address identified needs in the country and are consistent with the overall IUP strategy. In addition, you will work on producing quality documentation on time, in accordance with the requirements of the funders and the guidelines of the organization, and, contributing to a continuous learning and capacity-building process, in particular to strengthen the capacity of national staff..

For this, you will be responsible for:

  • Funding strategy: You will contribute to the development of the fund-raising strategy of the entire national programme by assessing existing sources of funding in the country and donor strategies.
  • Grants Management : You will be the focal point for program design and proposal development, donor reporting, donor guideline analysis, and more, the management of information on grants and capacity building efforts in the area of grant management.
  • Internal reporting, institutional knowledge management and capacity building : You will be responsible for monitoring calls for proposals and funding to ensure well-designed projects, quality funding requests and donor reporting, as well as donor and sub-grant compliance for all projects.

The challenges ahead of you:

The major challenges of this position are: 1) Optimization of the development process and management of grants (short deadlines and multi-bases projects, etc, involvement of operational bases and Technical Coordinators for a smoother process) 2) Capacity building of field teams (including project managers) on project development. 3) Implement a development strategy (mapping funding opportunities and prospecting potential donors) in connection with the Mission strategy.

What you will need to succeed

  • Training: You hold a bachelor’s or master’s degree in a field related to project management, international development and/or social sciences..
  • Experience: You have at least two years of NGO experience in grant management, program development or grant compliance. Have you worked with First International Emergency ? It would be an undeniable asset !
  • Skills : You demonstrate good ability to draft and coordinate high-quality proposals for major donors and demonstrate knowledge of the rules and regulations of major institutional donors (for example, ECHO, BPRM, ECHO, DFID, CDC, AFD, UNICEF and UNHCR). You are able to write, review and edit narrative and financial reports and have a great attention to detail.
  • Qualities : You are able to work independently, take responsibility in a proactive approach in order to make proposals and identify solutions. You are motivated(e), flexible and adaptable to the needs of teams and the organization, and you demonstrate a strong commitment to humanitarian principles. You demonstrate diplomacy and open-mindedness, resistance to stress and an ability to manage priorities and varied workloads. You have good analytical, problem-solving and leadership skills and are able to ensure effective and timely results. You also have the ability to integrate into the local environment, taking into account its political characteristics,economic & historical.
  • Languages : French has no secrets for you ? Better yet, it is mandatory for this position.

PUI will porpose you

  • Status : Framework with a Term Contract
  • Gross Salary : 2 650,00 – 3 130,00 EUR depending on your experience in international solidarity + 50€ per semester of seniority within the PUI
  • Assurance including medical coverage and complementary health, 24/24 assistance and repatriation
  • Housing in collective house
  • Living expenses (“Per Diem”)
  • Policy of Break : 5 Working days to 3 and 9 months + break allowance
  • Paid leave policy : 5 Weeks of paid vacation per year + return ticket every 6 months
