The Grants Manager will ensure supervision, monitoring and periodic support for the management of the Mission’s grant portfolio, from the first conversations with the donor and/or the organization’s partners, the preparation of proposals, to the verifications of the grant compliance, donor visibility requirements, and reporting for closure.

You will lead and coordinate the funding proposal development process ensuring high quality standards, concept notes and reports in compliance with donor regulations, follow established processes related to headquarters and mission, and ensure that all documentation is in line with Action Against Hunger’s internal guidelines. It will ensure that donor requirements are respected in terms of schedules, formats, visibility, financial line structure, among others.

In the deployment of the formulation of proposals and the intermediate and final reports, the contextual, sectoral and execution analyzes prepared by the project managers and sector managers will be supported and based.

This position will create and maintain donation tools, files and records and stay up to date on donor requirements.

The main activities you will perform are the following:

    1. Identify, coordinate, prepare, write and present quality and timely proposals or concept notes, following Action Against Hunger’s validation processes and taking into account donor guidelines.
    1. Coordinate and direct the production and presentation of quality and timely reports to donors.
    1. Manage grants and donor relations.

Does this description fit you?

  • Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree in Humanitarian Action or in Communications, Political Sciences, Law, International Relations.
  • Experience in proposal writing, donor standards, validation procedures and process coordination.
  • High level of spoken and written English as you will write reports and donor proposals in English.
  • Mastery of the Office package. Knowledge in the use of tools that ensure innovation and quality in work management such as Kobo and POwerBi is desirable.

  • Competitive remuneration based on the candidate’s experience (for international candidates – expatriates – a compensation package is offered: two break trips per year, per Diem of 215 euros for each paid Break trip on mission, housing – guest house – shared, return ticket to country of origin, insurance for expatriate personnel: health, life, repatriation, travel).
  • Contract duration: 12 months.
  • Base: Caracas, Venezuela.
  • Accompanied position: no.
  • Professional career in the Humanitarian sector.
  • Continuous training in both technical skills and soft skills.
