EPER employs around 600 people on a permanent basis. The work of the organisation is driven by the vision of a just world in which peace reigns, the dignity of all human beings is respected and natural livelihoods are preserved. EPER is active in 25 locations in Switzerland and in 30 countries around the world. It carries out more than 380 programmes and projects there, for a total amount of CHF 138 million. The organisation works within the reference framework of the 2030 Agenda according to four priority themes: “climate justice”, “right to land and food”, “asylum and migration”, “inclusion”. EPER also provides humanitarian aid to victims of natural disasters and armed conflicts. It aims for a transition at the social, economic and political levels. EPER helps to improve the living conditions of people in Switzerland and abroad and claims their rights. To this end, it raises awareness and mobilizes society, the political and economic spheres as well as the Churches. In 2023, the work of EPER benefited around 16 million people.

To this end, it raises awareness and mobilizes society, the political and economic spheres as well as the Churches.

We are looking for a period of 6 months, as part of our project in the DRC, a:

Your main responsibilities:

ENSURING QUALITY AND DEADLINES IN THE DESIGN OF PROJECTS AND REPORTS

  • Participate in monitoring lessor contracts and their proper application by the teams
  • Actively participate in internal planning, in particular through the creation of retrospective planning, for narrative reports and project proposals
  • Participate in the supervision of project design and reporting phases
  • Participate in the compliance of operational reports with the requirements and procedures of the various donors
  • Ensure proper understanding and application of lessor rules and procedures and train teams if necessary
  • Ensure computer classification of all documents relating to project proposals/reports in the Sharepoint mission as well as sharing with headquarters
  • Participate in the development and/or revision of internal reporting tools (example: SITREP) and other external documents

ACTIVELY PARTICIPATE IN THE SEARCH FOR NEW FINANCING AND PARTNERSHIPS

  • Participate in the preparation and updating of donor mapping for the search for new funding and/or additional funding for current projects
  • Ensure sharing and coordination with HEKS/EPER headquarters in Switzerland on the various financing opportunities

COMMUNICATION ET COORDINATION

  • Update and share the Grants Follow-up monthly
  • Participate in internal and external communication tasks (examples: preparation of the internal monthly newsletter, success stories and all communication activities aimed at donors)
  • Participate and represent the NGO in cluster meetings, COHP, etc. with preparation of reports and monitoring of the filling and compilation of the 5W matrices
  • Carry out any other tasks necessary for the proper and timely completion of the project, or action requested by the country coordination within the framework of intervention

OTHERS

  • Participate in the recruitment of Grants and Communication staff
  • Share knowledge and experiences within the organization as well as lessons learned

Your strengths and skills:

  • Advanced university training (minimum Bac+3 in the field of international cooperation)
  • At least 2 years of experience in the humanitarian field and field experience in a complex security context
  • Excellent experience in producing project proposals and reports.
  • Good knowledge of the procedures of the following donors: ECHO, FH, BHA, SDC, etc.
  • Personal skills / psycho-social requirements
  • Ability to work independently with initiative, flexibility and a sense of responsibility
  • Ability to work with different partners with appropriate open-mindedness and communication
  • Good listening and needs identification skills
  • Excellent organizational skills, rigor and respect for deadlines
  • Ability to work and manage in a professional and mature manner
  • Good resistance to stress and ability to work under pressure
  • Ability to build positive relationships with colleagues and work in a team
  • Ability to work in a multicultural environment and in difficult security contexts
  • Excellent knowledge of French and English (written/reading/speaking)
  • Excellent command of the Office Pack
