Focus on our activities in MALI

As part of its regional approach to the Central Sahel, PUI has been operating in Mali since 2013, in the regions of Gao (Cercle of Bourem then Ansongo – 2014), Kidal (Cercles of Kidal, Tessalit and Abeibara), Mopti (Cercles of Kidal, Tessalit and Abeibara), of Bankass and Bandiagara – 2019) and more recently, of San (Cercle de Tominian – 2023). The coordination office is based in Bamako and a central pharmacy is located in Sévaré to supply the pharmacies at the different bases. Since 2020, PUI has aimed to develop integrated approaches in its areas of intervention, thus, PUI intervenes in Mali in multiple sectors such as health, nutrition, protection, water, hygiene and sanitation as well as food security. Supported by BHA, ECHO and the Global Fund, PUI implements projects to improve access to quality medical and nutritional care for the most vulnerable populations. In addition, PUI has a strong capacity for deployment and emergency response to crises, particularly for internally displaced persons, thanks to its system of mobile clinics.

And the Grants Officer in all this?

As Grants Officer, you will be in charge of managing donor deadlines linked to the programs, internal and external communication on the mission and will support the Deputy Head of Mission for programs in his daily tasks, particularly in writing intervention proposals.

To this end, your responsibilities will be as follows:

  • Programs: You will support the writing and formulation of project proposals, as well as the substantive and formal revision of donor reports.
  • Communication/Information: You will develop internal and external communication documents and participate in communication working groups.
  • Representation: You will participate in external coordination meetings.

The challenges that await you:

– Participate in the drafting of project proposals and reports – Project development, monitoring and reporting – Develop communication activities on the mission – External representation of PUI in relevant clusters/meetings.

What you will need to succeed

  • Training

You can provide proof of a higher diploma (Master 2 or equivalent) in a field related to project management.

  • Experience

You have prior experience in the international solidarity sector, including ideally a minimum of six months in project management. Have you already worked with Première Urgence Internationale? This will be an undeniable asset!

  • SKILLS

You have excellent writing skills and knowledge of the rules of the main institutional donors (ECHO, EuropeAid, UN, OFDA, etc.).

  • Required qualities

You have a sense of responsibility, are autonomous and proactive. You show good analytical skills, are a good communicator, both written and oral, and know how to manage priorities well. You demonstrate organization, rigor, flexibility, and good resistance to stress.

  • LANGUAGES

French and English have no secrets for you? Good, it’s essential for this position! If you also speak Arabic, this will be an undeniable asset.

PUI will offer you

  • Status: Employee on Fixed-Term Contract
  • Gross monthly salary: 2,050.00 – 2,270.00 EUR depending on your experience in international solidarity + 50€ per semester of seniority with PUI
  • Insurance including medical and complementary health coverage, 24-hour assistance, repatriation and foresight
  • Accommodation in collective house
  • Living expenses (“Per Diem”)
  • Break regime: 5 working days at 3 and 9 months of mission + break bonus
  • Paid Leave Plan: 5 weeks of CP/year + return plane ticket home every 6 months
