MAGENTA is a leading Social and Behavioural Change (SBC) Research and Communications agency that specializes in understanding human decision-making processes in order to design communications solutions for positive change in fragile and development settings. Headquartered in Amman, Jordan and implementing programmes across the Middle East, Africa and Asia, we use the latest in behavioural science principles and a rigorous approach to research, strategy, campaign design and implementation.

This position is an exciting opportunity to be part of the freshly established MAGENTA’s creative department. An ideal candidate will have an advertising agency or graphic design studio background with focus on branding, publishing and digital. Passionate about graphic design and communication at large. The graphic designer works under the guidance of the creative director. She/he will be working with the creative director and the junior graphic designer as a team and contribute building the creative reputation of Magenta.

Responsibilities

The graphic designer will be responsible for servicing MAGENTA programmes, MAGENTA marketing and new business efforts. Key roles and responsibilities include:

Delivering graphic design excellence

· Developing fresh and innovative branding and communications ideas for a range of public sector clients. The graphic designer will work with the range of personalities associated with the project management process in a collaborative and inspiring way to share graphic solutions and produce them.

· Collaborating with Programme Managers to obtain knowledge of the clients’ requirements. This include understanding the data and insights presented to them to understand what graphic design ideas will resonate.

· Participate in creative sessions with team to develop innovative and actionable creative solutions.

· Guarding MAGENTA’s identity

Management and Oversight

· Keeping creative work deadlines.

· Providing technical quality assurance of deliverables.

Representation

· Present and rationalize own ideas and design solutions to creative director

· Present and rationalize own ideas and design solutions to project managers

· Keep updated with graphic design and technological trends.

· Passionately contribute to the creative reputation of Magenta!

Requirements & Competencies

· 3+ years of experience in advertising or graphic design studio.

· Experienced handling graphic and communication projects from brief to production.

· Degree in graphic design, visual/print/digital communication.

· Proven creativity and awareness of current trends in advertising and graphic design to generate fresh graphic and communication ideas.

· Good communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.

· Extensive knowledge of graphic design and Adobe creative suite. After FX is a +

· Good knowledge of Microsoft office 365 + used to work in an environment using SharePoint, Teams, Planner.

· Excellence in paying attention to details and insuring branding correctness.

· Fluency in English and Arabic

Working Conditions

· The graphic designer will be working on an I mac new generation with a graphic tablet and Adobe creative suite, Microsoft office. Shutterstock library.

· Working hours: 8.30 to 5.30 + one hour lunch break.

· May involve working late and on weekend occasionally.
