Job Summary:

The Syrian Network for Human Rights (SNHR) is looking for a creative and skilled Graphic Designer with experience in artificial intelligence (AI) applications in design to join its team in Damascus Office. The Graphic Designer will be responsible for developing visual designs and media materials that enhance SNHR’s messaging, support its reports, and promote its human rights activities, utilizing AI tools to improve quality and efficiency.

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Design and produce visual materials for reports, publications, and promotional content.

• Develop visual identity and graphic content for SNHR’s various platforms (social media, presentations, reports).

• Utilize AI tools to enhance design processes and analyze data for creating impactful infographics and visual representations.

• Edit and enhance images and short videos using advanced digital tools.

• Improve user experience for digital publications and SNHR’s official website.

• Collaborate with media, reports, and advocacy teams to ensure design consistency with SNHR’s strategic goals.

• Research and apply the latest trends and technologies in AI-assisted design to enhance production quality.

• Ensure all visual content adheres to ethical and human rights standards.

• Perform any other tasks assigned by the management within the scope of work.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Arts, Digital Media, or a related field.

• Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience in graphic design, with practical knowledge of AI applications in design.

• Language: Proficiency in Arabic and a good command of English.

• Strong skills in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, After Effects, along with experience using AI-powered tools such as Adobe Firefly, DALL·E, MidJourney, or other emerging technologies.

• Ability to translate complex data into clear and visually appealing designs.

• Strong creativity and adaptability in a dynamic and fast-paced work environment.

• Analytical skills to understand target audience needs and develop effective visual content.

• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

• Basic knowledge of video editing and motion graphics is a plus.

Work Environment:

• The work will be based at SNHR’s Damascus office, with the possibility of a hybrid work arrangement.

• A professional work environment that requires continuous interaction with multiple teams within SNHR.
