Head of Compliance
Location: UK Flexible
Hours: 35 Hours per week
Contract type: Permanent
Salary: Circa ?60,000 per annum (plus Inner London Weighting where applicable)

As Head of Compliance, you will establish standards and implement procedures to ensure that compliance activities across our organisation are effective and efficient.
About this unique opportunity…
In this exciting new role, you will oversee compliance within the British Red Cross (BRC), influencing the culture of the organisation, and ensuring compliance with laws, regulatory requirements, policies, and procedures.
Reporting to the Senior Director – Professional Services, you will shape a new compliance function, partnering with senior management and subject matter experts to join up compliance activities across the organisation under a coherent strategy and consistent standards.
You will deliver compliance services in a way that enables the organisation to manage risk effectively, gives our people a great experience, ensures we are a learning organisation, and reduces our cost to serve. You will help us streamline compliance processes and tools enabling our front-line teams to do more for people in crisis.
What we’re looking for…
With strong regulatory knowledge that includes compliance strategy, objectives, and methodologies, we are looking for a candidate who also has proven consultancy skills; analytical and solutions focussed and can move between detail and strategy for ‘big picture’ awareness.
You will have excellent organisati onal and leadership skills, able to collaborate with, and influence senior stakeholders and decision makers to make impactful change, whilst managing and developing a central compliance function.
Experience of designing and overseeing an effective complaints process is essential, and we’re keen to receive applications from candidates who are skilled at assessing and interpreting risk.
