Who are we?

The FRISC (Finance, Supply Chain and Risk) Department is one of the core support functions in headquarters and consists of around 75 talented and engaged people who are responsible for DRC’s financial affairs globally in close cooperation with the operational departments. You will lead the manager of the Central Accounting unit/division as well as direct manager for a team of finance specialists. You will be a member of the management team in FRISC together with 3 other managers and our CFO.

About the job

High level of influence on people and processes

You will be responsible for the corporate internal and external financial reporting in DRC as well as the global budgeting process and the overall management of the Danish transactional finance processes executed in the Central Accounting team. Your main goal will be to provide timely financial insight of high quality for management as well as ensuring a good process around and high quality in the annual report. And finally, you will oversee the process of interim audit and year-end audit with our statutory external auditors and hold the secretariat of our Audit Committee. The position offers numerous opportunities to collaborate with your team, the management team in FRISC, and across the other departments of DRC.

Optimization and change management

DRC went live in January 2019 with our new cloud-based ERP system (Microsoft Dynamics 365). A major task for this position will be to contribute to the continuing development of the solution and problem solving together with the rest of the management team in FRISC, and as well as ensuring new insights based on the system.

About you

To be successful in this role you need to have:

  • At least five years’ experience at management level within Finance in an international organization (e.g., in an INGO or an international commercial organization)
  • Well documented experience with statutory financial reporting and audit coordination, preferably also experience with institutional donors
  • University degree or equivalent within a relevant area
  • An accounting qualification with a globally recognised organisation is also highly desirable
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Good knowledge of and experience working in Dynamics 365 (Finance & Operations) ERP solution will be an advantage

Salary and conditions will be in accordance with the agreement between DRC and Lederaftalen (Management agreement). This is a national position for which local terms and conditions apply.
