Location: Hybrid working between home and London Head Office
Hours: 35 hours per week, Monday – Friday but we’re open to flexible working
Contract: 16 months fixed term (Maternity cover)
Salary: Circa £68,000 per annum pro rata (includes inner London weighting of £3,344 per annum)

We’re looking for an exceptional Head of Strategic Communications and Planning to drive forward our approach to engaging audiences through best practice communications insight, strategy and planning.

What you’ll be doing

As Head of Strategic Communications and Planning, you’ll be responsible for strategic development and planning of our organisational engagement with audiences and the communications and advocacy activity that reaches them.

You’ll lead the directorate insight and planning function, working with colleagues across the organisation to ensure the communications we deliver are insight-driven, audience-focused and support our strategic priorities effectively – as well as driving ever closer integration to optimise the audience experience, both internally and externally.

You’ll drive forward a critical transformation in our ability to be audience-centric, developing a new approach to audience strategy, building organisation-wide capability around audience understanding and championing innovation in the way we approach communications planning.

The role might be for you if…

You’re a leader with all the qualities and experience necessary to drive transformation and champion audience-centric ways of working.

You have experience of working in insight and consumer/supporter research, with a strong understanding of approaches to audience identification and strategy development.

You’re a strategic thinker with knowledge of communication planning and a background in successfully leading high calibre teams focussed on providing strategic direction.
