As a major player in the social and solidarity economy, the French Red Cross manages a network of more than 600 institutions and services in the health, medico-social and training sectors. It is also the head of 12 regional institutes for health and social training.
At’international, the CRF intervenes in 16 countries alongside National Societies and 2 regional platforms (PIRAC and PIROI), on the following themes: Health and Disaster risk management.
As in the professions it develops and implements in France, the French Red Cross internationally places all of its missions in a sustainable humanitarian action plan. This results in an articulation of emergency, post-emergency, exit from the crisis and reconstruction activities aimed at best efficiency. The objective is to carry out actions with lasting effects and to allow populations to regain their full autonomy.

The French Red Cross (CRF) has been active in Chad since the 1970s, and has had a permanent delegation on site since 1998. From 2001 to 2009, the first programmes carried out by the CRF focused on’access to’au and sanitation in the city of N’Djamena, France, then this program S’ has been extended from 2004 in the region of the Western Logone. In 2010, the CRF set up an intervention to combat malnutrition in the Batha region. From 2012, it re-focused its approach by integrating elements for improved food security and maternal and child health.
Today’, the CRF is present in the provinces of Batha,’Hadjer Lamis, Mayo Kebbi Est, Tandjile, France, from Sila and N’Djamena in close collaboration with the Chad Red Cross (CRT) and the decentralized services of the’ State.
The CRF has thus set up in Sila a first’urgence project funded by Echo to meet the health needs of Sudanese populations moving to Chad : distribution of kits NFIs,’ hygiene and dignity, implementation of consultations through a mobile clinic, referral of patients in the Zabout camp and strengthening of drug inputs in health centres. This project will be reinforced at the beginning of August by funding from the CDCS with an additional ERP component.
It is in this context of’urgence that the CRF is looking for a sub-delegation leader who will be based in Sila in Goz-Beida.

Under the authority of the/the head of delegation based in N’Djamena, the/the head⋅fe of sub-delegation has the objectives of :
– Represent the FIU to the authorities, beneficiaries and partners involved in the Sila and Uadai area. It is important to note that the representation with the central level (ministries of guardianship except in exceptional cases) will be made by the/the head of delegation,
– Ensure the coordination and monitoring of projects of the sub-delegation of, as well as the sharing of’information with other humanitarian actors and field partners, and, specifically with members of the CR/CR Movement,
– Ensure good communication and coordination between the various departments of the sub-delegation with the CRF delegation in N’Djamena,
– Maintain the strategic positioning of the FIU and guarantee the quality and accountability of the actions implemented in its areas of competence, within the sub-delegation.
The head (TAG1> fe of sub-delegation is the guarantor ⋅ e of compliance with internal procedures, and in particular security, put in place by the FIU at the level of the sub-delegation. The delegation’s current challenge is to position itself as a leading player in the response in the area of Health and humanitarian services.

Training :
Master or equivalent in project management, international relations/international cooperation, social sciences and/or administrative and financial management
Requirements of the position :
- Proven experience in management, project management (3 years minimum) essential ;
- Experience in security management ;

- Experience in the’humanitaire/development and abroad’ indispensable ;
- Ease of communication and a sense of diplomacy and negotiation in institutional relations ;
