We are Educo, an NGO that has worked in more than 14 countries and for more than 30 years for the well-being and rights of children, especially the right to receive quality education. With more than 170 social action and humanitarian aid projects, we accompany almost 1 million boys and girls, especially those who live in situations of vulnerability, poverty or lack of opportunities. No matter what happens, nothing stops us: in the face of any crisis, armed conflict or emergency, education cannot stop. Because education is urgent: it heals, empowers and protects.

In addition, we are members of the ChildFund Alliance, one of the main international coalitions of NGOs focused on child protection and present in more than 60 countries. Together with other people, companies and governments, we form a protective and safety network that works to improve the lives of children, their families and communities. WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

The person responsible for EDUCO’s Technological Transformation Area leads the digital transformation strategy and the implementation of innovative technological solutions to enhance the operational efficiency and impact of the NGO on its social mission.

This position manages a team of technicians with various specialties and actively represents and contributes to innovation and technological transformation groups and forums, reporting to the Director of Impact and Organizational Improvement, member of the Steering Committee.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

Strategic Leadership:

Develop and execute the technological transformation strategy aligned with the objectives and values ​​of the NGO.

Collaborate with the management committee to integrate technology into global strategic planning.

Technical Team Management:

Leads and develops a team of technicians with various specialties, coordinating efforts for the effective implementation of technological solutions.

Assign tasks based on the skills and experience of team members.

Negotiate, supervise and implement with external suppliers the technological projects approved by the Non-Financial Investment Committee

Data Strategy Management:

Develop and maintain an efficient, sustainable data storage and governance strategy aligned with Educo’s strategy, market opportunities and best practices from other organizations.

Guarantee security, availability, ethics in data collection and handling.

Infrastructure and Information Security:

Manage the technological infrastructure related to information management, ensuring its stability, security and regulatory compliance.

Implement specific cybersecurity measures to protect the integrity and confidentiality of information.

Alliances, Networks and Forums:

Represent the organization and actively contribute to work groups and forums that promote innovation, technological transformation and knowledge exchange.

Establish networks and alliances with organizations in the technology sector that generate mutual value and contribute to the fulfillment of the mission.

Technological Innovation and Sustainability:

Promote technological innovation within the organization internally and externally, focused on tools that contribute to the NGO’s strategy.

Impact Monitoring and Evaluation:

Measure, evaluate and readjust Educo’s digital transformation strategy, in terms of efficiency, effectiveness and sustainability, considering the context and practices of the sector.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Education: University degree in Computer Engineering, or equivalent.
  • Solid experience in technological transformation leadership in NGOs or social entities.
  • Technical Knowledge: Expert in the Microsoft environment, as well as in technological trends, artificial intelligence, data analysis, and digital project management.
  • Leadership: Demonstrated skills in shared leadership and management of multidisciplinary teams in person and remotely
  • High level of English
  • Good level of French desirable

LOCATION, CONDITIONS OF THE CONTRACT AND PRESENTATION OF THE APPLICATION

Location: Barcelona.

Contract: Initial replacement contract due to temporary leave, full-time, with the possibility of opting as an internal candidate for the organization’s available vacancies

Remuneration: according to Educo salary tables
