ABOUT CHAIN OF HOPE

La Chaîne de l’Espoir is an international NGO founded in 1994. Its mission is to strengthen health systems to give everyone, and in particular children, the same chances of survival and development. We operate in 28 countries with a global approach, focused on the child but also on mothers and disadvantaged communities:

Prevention and screening from an early age, particularly within the framework of school health programs.
Care and surgery, to meet the most urgent needs of children and their mothers.
Training and skills transfer to local teams thanks to our international network of experts in all areas of surgery.
Construction and equipment of hospital structures adapted to local needs.

POSITION AND MISSION

Reporting to the Management Control Manager, within the Administrative and Financial Department, you will support the management control team according to needs and capacities, on the following themes:

Budget – Finance

Participate in the production of summary documents, monitoring project budgets and changes in expenditure, analyze and comment on budget/actual discrepancies, in collaboration with the appropriate departments
Participate in the preparation of financial reports intended for financiers
Contribute to the preparation of project audits by collecting and verifying documents selected by the auditors
Support the management control team during annual budget development and/or re-estimation exercises
Participate in updating the analytical settings of the accounting software and contribute to the analytical review of Headquarters and mission accounting.

Accounting

Assist in control operations of mission accounts and financial reports of operational partners
Assist the team in sending accounting extracts to La Chaîne de l’Espoir offices abroad
You will participate in team meetings and may be required to write the minutes.

Depending on the profile and news of the management control team, you will be able to intervene on other subjects in financial management.

TRAINING

Bac+4/5 in Business School, Finance, Accounting

REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALITIES

It is above all your personality and your state of mind that interests us!

You have a certain appetite for figures and wish to discover or deepen your knowledge of management control by visualizing operational and strategic actions.
You have a sense of teamwork, you know how to communicate with your environment both written and orally. You are rigorous, methodical and organized. You have strong analytical and synthesis skills.
You are comfortable with the IT environment, particularly Excel.
You will benefit from support to give you every chance of succeeding in this new mission, however great autonomy and adaptability are necessary!
