Focus on our activities in BURKINA FASO
PUI has been operating in Burkina Faso since July 2020 through activities to maintain the continuum of care for populations affected by the crisis in the Eastern region ( district of Fada, Gayéri, Pama, Diappaga and Bogandé ), from the Sahel ( district of Sebba ) and in the Boucle du Mouhoun ( Boromo ). PUI’s intervention revolves around two pillars: support for the resilience of the care system and emergency response through the deployment of mobile clinics. These projects, supported by the CDCS, ECHO and the Humanitarian Fund, are part of an integrated approach: thus, PUI supports the supply of primary and secondary health care to the health centers supported, rehabilitate water points, deal with malnutrition and emergency references to secondary levels, provide food assistance.PUI works in the framework of several projects with a national partner and an international partner.

And the.the Health-TRAINING Coordinator in all this?
As a Health Coordinator, you will be the guarantor of the’ elaboration and the’application of the operational strategy in Health of the mission as well as the quality of the current and future Health programs in the phases of definition, implementation monitoring and evaluation. You will strengthen the capacities of the Mission Health department and provide technical support to project teams and in particular to Health project managers in a functional relationship. You will ensure the representation of PUI to the authorities, humanitarian actors and donors for the health sector.
For this purpose, your responsibilities will be as follows :
Context analysis / Strategy / Development : You will participate in the development of the operational strategy in Health and contribute to the development of new relevant interventions in Health on the mission according to the needs identified in the country, and, respecting the policy and framework of’health intervention of PUI. In coordination with the’ health team, you will ensure an epidemiological watch on the country and analyze its strengths and weaknesses from a public health point of view.
Quality of Programs : You will provide functional technical support in your field of’expertise to program teams, in particular those responsible for programs in Health, and you will ensure the quality and the’ effectiveness of the/programs in Health of the mission.
Representation / Coordination : You will ensure the sectoral representation in Health of PUI to partners, donors, national authorities and local actors. You will represent PUI in the meetings of the Health Cluster or sector coordination group in Health. You will contribute to the proper flow of information from the Health sector.
Human Resources / Training : You will offer technical support to project teams and in particular to Health teams. You will provide support to project managers for the recruitment of technical staff in Health. In collaboration with the Head of Mission (CDM) and/or the CDM Deputy Programme and the Head Office Health Reference, you will identify the main strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and gaps of the Health department. You will oversee the content of Health training and the quality of Health activities based on identified needs.
Logistics and administration: You will ensure that the teams under your responsibility respect the logistical and administrative procedures and keep the logistics and administrative departments informed of any relevant developments.
Security : You will contribute to compliance with security rules on the mission and transmit any security information to your line manager and/or the/the security manager of the mission. You will contribute when necessary to the choice of referencing options for the health care of the expatriates of the mission.
The challenges ahead of you:
– establish a Health framework for mission activities – Structure the monitoring of the mission pharmacy – Support to teams in the development of projects and rapid responses in emergencies
What you will need to succeed
Formation
You can justify a higher degree in the medical or paramedical field. On the other hand, a training in Public Health or in project management would be appreciated.
Experience
You have at least three years of field experience in international NGO, in the coordination of medical projects.You have already held positions of Medical Coordinator.e or equivalent in an international NGO ? This will be highly appreciated. Have you worked with First International Emergency ? It will be an undeniable asset!
Skills
You have mastered humanitarian project management and team management, you have in-depth knowledge of the main donors. You have excellent writing skills.
Qualities required
You show a good relationship, ease of communication, both in writing and orally, and you have a taste for teamwork. You are able to work autonomously with initiative, demonstrate a sense of responsibility, an excellent capacity for’analysis, rigor and organization, responsiveness and adaptability. You have excellent resistance to stress and an ability to work under pressure.
Languages
French and’anglais have no secrets for you ! All the better, they are essential languages for this position.

Status: Framework in Contract with Determined Duration
Gross monthly salary: 2 650,00 – 3 130,00 EUR according to your experience in international solidarity + 50€ per semester of seniority with PUI
Assurance including medical and complementary health coverage, 24/24 assistance, repatriation and pension
Hosting in collective house
Cost of living: “Per Diem”
Break regime: 5 Working days to 3 and 9 months mission + break premium
Paid Leave Plan: 5 Weeks from CP/year + A/R air ticket at home every 6 months
