Position Title: Health Information Management Associate
Reports to: Program Manager Location: Amman, Jordan
Gross Salary: $1350
Position Summary:
The Health Information Management Associate will support the management and coordination of data-related activities for health, mental health, and protection projects. This position requires a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Public Health, or Information Management with a strong health background and at least 3–5 years of relevant experience. The associate will leverage expertise in data analysis, reporting, and visualization to ensure accurate, reliable, and actionable data for decision-making. Key responsibilities include maintaining data accuracy, developing and refining data collection tools, performing data analysis, and collaborating with MEAL and program staff to enhance project effectiveness. Proficiency in tools like SPSS and Excel, as well as advanced experience in Power BI, is essential to fulfill the role’s requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Data Management & Accuracy: o Oversee data collection and entry processes, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and consistency across health, mental health, and protection programs.
o Conduct regular data checks and validation to maintain high-quality standards.
2. Tool Development & Training: o Design, update, and refine data collection tools in collaboration with program and MEAL staff.
o Provide training and ongoing support to project staff to ensure proper use of tools.
3. Data Analysis & Reporting: o Perform advanced data analysis to generate insights, focusing on health and mental health metrics.
o Create detailed reports with visualizations (using Power BI, SPSS, and Excel) to inform project performance and outcomes.
4. Collaboration with MEAL and Program Staff: o Work closely with MEAL and program teams to support their data needs and provide insights for monitoring, evaluation, and project planning.
o Ensure alignment of data analysis with project objectives and logframe indicators.
5. Visualization & Dashboards: o Develop and maintain interactive dashboards to track project progress, key performance indicators (KPIs), and operational metrics.
6. Archiving & Documentation: o Organize and maintain secure and accessible project data records, ensuring compliance with organizational documentation standards.
7. Research Support: o Assist in the design and implementation of research studies, including data collection, analysis, and interpretation of results.
8. Additional Tasks: o Perform other data-related duties as assigned by the Program Manager, including supporting project evaluations and reporting.
Skills:
• Advanced report writing and data analysis.
• Proficiency in SPSS and Excel, and advanced experience in Power BI, for data management, analysis, and visualization.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to communicate technical data clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
Knowledge:
• Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Public Health (preferred) or Information Management with a strong health background.
• Solid understanding of public health principles, health data analysis, and basic research methodologies.
• Familiarity with health-related information systems and their applications in humanitarian or development settings.
Experience:
• At least 3–5 years of relevant experience in data management or analysis, preferably in health or mental health-related projects.
• Demonstrated experience designing dashboards and visualizations using Power BI or similar tools is highly desirable.
