The IRC has been operating in Thailand since 1975 and currently provides assistance to displaced persons in Tak, Kanchanaburi, Ratchaburi and Mae Hong Son provinces.
Job Overview/Summary:
This position is required to assist the health program staffs in the area of the medical referral procedures, logistic, finance related procedures, data collection and communication.
Major Responsibilities:
- EMR related responsibilities
- Support supervisor to follow up information of the referred patients at the hospital and update to the Clinical and RCH teams and ensure the flow of EMR feedback forms.
- Ensure the visits of EMR house staffs (IRC and KnHD) to inpatients in the hospital and out – patient for translation and supportive services and ensure the 24 hours staffs scheduling in the EMR house.
- To prepare monthly order of EMR food consumption and total number of the patients and care takers.
- Assist border health workers in CM EMR house for transportation, food and activities cost every 2 weeks.
- Referral data management
- Support supervisor to ensure EMR data to update weekly, verify with camp clinic registers, weekly reports, medical referral form and house registers and summit report in the first week of every month to health program officer.
- Assist Health program officer in checking data accuracy and verification for outbreak alert report weekly.
- Logistics support
- Prepare and ensure the travel documents/ camp pass for patients and supplies (such as oxygen and gas).
- Financial clearance support
- Assist supervisor in preparation of the purchase request and payment request for the health program supplies.
- Assist supervisor in the verification of finance bills of the patients from the hospital and translate from Thai to English if need.
- Prepare the advance clearance for the expenses for transportation of patients and other medical referral costs and expenses for KnHD staffs for reimbursement for all activities.
- Assist in the verification of finance bills and all reimbursement for KnHD such as receipt clearance of some items that are to be purchased in the camps.
- Assist to provide monthly stipend to KnHD staffs on preparation and distribution.
- Supervision and monitoring
- Supervise and monitoring of border health workers (camp-based assistant of KnHD) in both MHS and CM EMR houses.
- Others
- Tasks as requested by supervisor.

Internal: Senior Health Managers of refugee and emergency program, other health program staff, IRC Operation team
External: KnHD staff
Job Requirements:
Education: At least High school Diploma / University Diploma (bachelor’s degree is an advantage)
Work Experience: At least one year of working experience in office setting, data entry and verification of finance bills.
Understanding of camp context and health program in camp setting is preferred.

- Computer literate; Microsoft Office, Adobe, etc.

Language Skills: Good command of written and verbal in Thai and Burmese with some knowledge in English, Karenni and Karen languages.

Working Environment: The position will be based in Mae Hong Son, a town in the North of Thailand, with frequent and regular travel to the two refugee camps. Both the Mae Hong Son town and the two refugee camps are in a low-risk area.
