The Opportunity
The role of HR & Admin Coordinator will be expected to provide generalist HR & Admin support to Türkiye Country Office and partner organizations. This role will be responsible to provide effective support and co-ordination on full range of HR and Admin processes including coordination with regional team and other stakeholders providing the opportunity to become involved in a wide range of HR and Admin initiatives. Role holder will also be responsible for ensuring full compliance of the policies and procedures of these core responsibilities and implementing best practices aligned with the organizational culture.
In order to be successful you will bring/have:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management and or Business Administration or any other relevant degrees
- Minimum 3 years of experience in Human Resources (with at least one year in managerial roles)
- Strong communication (written and spoken), and interpersonal skills in English and Turkish, with experience in working with multicultural teams across diverse cultures and geographical distances
- Extensive knowledge of Turkish Labour Law and related legislation and issues concerning local labour market
- Ability to build relationships quickly with a wide variety of people, both internally and externally
- Demonstrated excellent skills in planning, coordination, and reporting skills, with the ability to organise a substantial workload comprised of complex, diverse tasks and responsibilities;
- Proven operational HR or Admin experience of providing a generalist HR and Admin service to staff and colleagues across a full range of HR and Admin issues
- Advanced working knowledge with MS Office applications (i.e. Word, advanced Excel, Outlook, Teams) with high degree of proficiency and productivity
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to collaborate and work effectively in partnership with others
- Ability to work with limited supervision and strong ability to take initiative.
- Good facilitation skills and ability to deliver induction briefing/training
- Able to work to tight deadlines and under pressure.
- Excellent team player.
- HR experience in INGOs is highly desirable
- Experience working with implementing partners is highly desirable
- Relevant experience with safeguarding and disciplinary procedures are highly desired
- Communication skills (both written and spoken) in Arabic language will be an asset
- Preferably experience of working with HRIS systems such as Oracle, Taleo etc.
- Preferably experience of working in emergency response and with major donors
Position holder will be based in Istanbul, therefore legal right to work in Türkiye is necessary at the time of application.
