The Opportunity
HR, Admin & Safeguarding Coordinator will be expected to provide generalist HR & Admin & Safeguarding support to Northwest Syria Office and dedicated support to partner organizations in capacity building and implementation of safeguarding actions. The role holder will work as part of the HR and Child safeguarding team across the Syria Response Office.
In order to be successful you will bring/have:
- Qualification in Human Resources/ Business Management/ Administration or equivalent
- Minimum 3 years of experience in Human Resources (with at least one year in managerial roles)
- Experience within an INGO or similar other organisation working with vulnerable children or with similar experience within Save the Children
- Experience of managing complex child protection/safeguarding investigations and or disciplinary investigations
- Extensive knowledge of Turkish Labour Law and related legislation and issues concerning local labour market
- Ability to prioritize and deliver results against demanding timetables and in the face of competing demands
- Ability to provide remote support and establish supportive relationships and networks
- Advanced working knowledge with MS Office applications (i.e. Word, advanced Excel, Outlook, Teams) with high degree of proficiency and productivity
- Ability to work comfortably and effectively, either at own initiative or under direction
- Strong communication (written and spoken), and interpersonal skills in English and Turkish, with experience in working with multicultural teams
- Ability to travel to other work locations of Syria Response Office
- Previous experience working in context of Northwest Syria, experience working with implementing partners and relevant experience in safeguarding is highly desired
- Communication skills (both written and spoken) in Arabic language is highly desired
- Experience of working with HRIS systems such as Oracle, Taleo etc. is an advantage
We offer a competitive package in the context of the sector at the pay-grade of the position, transportation allowance as per relevant internal policy and 20 days of annual leave per year.
Position holder will be based in Antakya/Hatay, therefore legal right to work in Turkey is necessary at the time of applicaton.
