HR Information Systems Administrator, LDC Band E Step 1, 13, Jordan Field Office At UN Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East

The incumbent of this post is responsible to the Human Resources Career Management
Officer (HRCMO), A17.
Responsibilities
• Monitors and follows up on data collection, consolidation and analysis related to HR
information system (REACH) to produce reports and statistical data that will support
management in planning, budgeting and forecasting; provides expert advice on the
information available in REACH and supports the users in their extraction and formatting;
executes data analysis to support decision making and computation of KPI;
• Provides technical support to ensure all HR staff in the assigned Field properly utilize all
systems and software for day-to-day operational needs; this includes the Reach & e-TM
systems;
• Manages the HR related information systems, including customization and maintenance;
Identifies HR Small Business Applications development needs in the respective Field and
follows up on the development, testing and deploying in accordance with Information
Management Services Division (IMSD) policy regarding Small Business Applications;
• Is technically responsible at Field level for the data integrity, accuracy, timeliness and
maintenance of all HR Information Systems data from error detection phase to error
correction phase;
• Prepares training material and conducts training for users of the applications to which he/she
is assigned;
• Acts as technical focal point for the roll-out of new Agency-wide HR systems in
coordination with Information Management IMD staff in Headquarters and the Field, where
necessary;
• Implements the technical guidance, instructions and supports documentations provided by
IMSD and ensures proper identification and resolution of system problems;
• Keeps abreast of latest technology developments and deployed databases and systems
facilities;
• Perform such other duties as may be assigned.

Education

Job Specific Qualifications
Work Experience
• At least three years relevant experience in IT related work, including experience with
Microsoft development tools and packages in both client-server and web-based environments.

Special Notice
Contract Status:
Limited Duration Contract for six months with the possibility of further extension, subject to
the availability of funds, satisfactory performance and continuing need.
Benefits:
LDC Band “E” Monthly Salary JD 897.00 Other benefits include medical insurance.

Desirable Qualifications:
• Software development and programming skills;

• The incumbent may be required to work beyond regular working hours.
Equivalency:
When the minimum requirements are not fully met, the Director of Human Resources may
exceptionally substitute part of the unmet requirements with a combination of relevant
academic qualifications and progressive relevant work experience.
NB: Work experience alone or formal qualifications with no relevant work experience are not
considered an acceptable combination.

• This vacancy notice is open to internal and external candidates. Only candidates residing in
Jordan, and within commuting distance of the duty station with authorization to work in the
