Purpose

PAC is an active NGO established in 2012, registered in Turkey, active in NWS, with other small operations offices in both Yemen and Sudan.

In NWS; PAC is a leading organization in both the health and Nutrition sectors through several central programs that work to improve the resilience of crisis-affected communities in NWS.

PAC’s programs always aimed to build and support the active health and nutrition systems in the target areas through maintaining a high level of integration across several sectors and leads central services to facilitate the provision of the service that other actors are running in NWS.

Position: HR Officer

Workplace: Gaziantep/Turkey

Reports to: HR and Admin Manager

JOB PURPOSE:

To assist in the administration of the day-to-day operations of the human resources.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist in updating and roll-out of Human Resource policies and in observing to ensure that that they are respected
  • Assist staff in clarifying on HR policies, processes, procedures and standard PAC practices
  • Provide HR administrative support (eg placement of advertisements, receiving filling applications, inviting candidates for interview, organizing interview venues, issuance of new staff identity cards – IDs, etc) during staff and recruitment processes.
  • Update and maintain all staff records and individual files including contracts, leave, medical, appraisals, etc.
  • Generate regular monthly records and reports such as leave report, staff lists, HR statistics
  • Process and follow up claims for medical cover, insurance and other staff issues.
  • Draft job offers, and contracts for review and approval.
  • Prepare the regular payroll data for review
  • Undertake and maintain HR archives in accordance with the PAC regulations
  • Deliver induction/orientation training for new hires.
  • Contribute in the alignment and design of additional HR policies, processes and procedures.
  • Follow-up with regular working hours, holidays, and paid/sick leaves for all employees on the PAC attendance system.
  • Manage employees’ paid leaves the pay leave log, in coordination with line managers.
  • Prepare weekly, and monthly attendance report.
  • Follow up with office managers on their staff attendance.
  • Draft and circulate confirmed announcement about administrative instructions, and public holidays.

Note: the above-mentioned key responsibilities/accountabilities are illustrative ones. Other future responsibilities/accountabilities may be assigned to the job depending on the department organizational chart.

Position holders will be based in Gaziantep, therefore, legal right to work in Türkiye is necessary at the time of application.

Qualification (Education/Work Experience)

  • University degree in HR, business administration, or related fields.
  • Three years of professional experience in general HR services.
  • Previous Experience in working with NGO’s.
  • Advanced level in English, Arabic and Turkish.
  • Computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, Outlook, SharePoint).
  • Knowledge of HR competency system.
  • Knowledge of writing SOP’s.
  • Turkish Nationality is Preferred
