We offer development consulting services to facilitate effective agricultural market-oriented and private sector-led development; resilience building; entrepreneurship and employment opportunities for youth and women and similar services in the East Africa region and beyond, for clients including regional governments, international development organizations, and agro-businesses. As part of our compliance and operational support services (Vizuri360) business, we also provide logistic, event management, HR, finance, legal and other management ‘outsourcing’ services to international development organizations and agro-businesses interested in implementing projects and programs in the region. Overall Job Purpose: Reporting to the HR Lead, the role holder will implement HR strategies, policies, systems, plans, and programs in a professional and seamless manner.
Specific Duties & Responsibilities:
- Implement HR strategies, Policies, Systems, Plans & Procedures
- Processing of HR information in the payroll, HRMI system to ensure its completeness and accuracy whilst generating attendant reports on a routine basis
- Coordinating talent acquisition process in strict adherence with the hiring guidelines and turn-around timelines
- Handling administrative procedures in dealing with employee disciplinary & grievance issues. This includes conducting investigations and making recommendations to the Lead, HR for further action
- Responding to routine inquiries from HR clients (internal & external) on HR matters in an accurate and professional manner
- Coordinate HR initiatives as per the HR Plan including but not limited to team building programs, end of year parties, employee satisfaction surveys, etc
- Coordinating end to end performance management process while ensuring the timely and effective appraisal
Qualifications and Experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management or CHRP (K) qualification with at least 3years experience in a similar role and in a fast-paced business environment
• Active member of Institute of Human Resource Management
• Ability to handle pressure and provide solutions
• Good knowledge of labor laws and exposure to the best HR practices, principles and practices
• High standards of confidentiality, reliability, discretion, and ability to work as part of a professional team
• Hands-on experience in HRMIS and cloud-based backup suites. Those with experience in working with endeavor and SharePoint systems will have a definite advantage
