Human Resources and Organisation Development Director (f/m) At SOS Children’s Villages International

As a non-governmental social development organisation we support children without parental care and families in difficult living conditions through services in care, health and emergency relief, and we advocate for the rights of children and young people, in alliance with a great diversity of partners. To support us with this important responsibility SOS Children’s Villages Egypt is now looking for a committed: Human Resources and Organisation Development Director(f/m)

Location: Cairo, Egypt

Mission of the position:

The Human Resources and Organisation Development (HROD) Director provides services, advice, and controlling to the National Director, Programme Heads and national key functions regarding HR within the frame of the international SOS Children’s Villages organisation’s vision, mission, values and strategy. As a member of the National Management Team the HROD Director participates in developing and implementing the national Annual Plan. S/he ensures the implementation of the HROD plan based on the HR Manual, SOS Care Promise, Safeguarding policies and Strategy 2030. The HROD Director sees his/her supreme task in driving the further development of the organisation, also in terms of performance through ensuring qualified processes. The HROD Director ensures that all administrative issues are carried out in strict compliance with the national legislation. S/he is a member of the regional HR network of national Human Resources co-workers in the region.

Tasks and Responsibilities

Human Resources Management

  • Responsible for the development, coordination, monitoring of HR work within the Member Association (MA) and ensures in close cooperation with line management the implementation of HR standards in Personnel Planning & Job Design, Recruitment & Selection, Onboarding, Learning, Development & Career Development, Performance Management, Compensation/Benefits Management, Phase-out/Retirement

Safeguarding and Value Based Conduct

  • Responsible for implementing the Living our Values framework. Work closely with line management and functions to build capacity in implementing the HROD objectives of the Safeguarding principles and processes such as Code of Conduct, PSHEA regulation, Gender policy, Misconduct incident management

HR for Programme Development

  • Ensure all HR standards related to Child and Youth Care practitioners are implemented in cooperation with the programme department

Job Family Development and Compensation

  • Drive the compensation and benefits process ensuring the implementation of the system and yearly review, facilitate performance conferences, HR budgeting process.
  • HR Administration
  • Ensure all HR related documentation is up to date and in accordance with the local legislation and data protection

HR Digital Transformation

  • Implement the D365 HR module and Connect SOS developments
  • Responsible for driving digital transformation such as data collection, migration and trainings

Cooperation and networking

  • Drive the national employer branding activities to ensure SOS is an attractive employer
  • Keep up the matrix relationship by cooperating with the regional HROD CEE/CIS/ME.

Requirements

  • University degree in Human Resources or Business Administration, Law, Economics, Psychology or a similar field related to Human Resources
  • Minimum 5-7 years working experience in the field of HROD, 2 years in leading position
  • Sound knowledge of local labour law
    • Experience in the field of Human Resources Development (particularly in staff retention, performance management)
    • Good command of English, written and spoken
    • Excellent interpersonal skills, tact and high degree of discretion and confidentiality
    • Excellent communication skills
    • Collaborative way of work fostering integration and teamwork
    • Intercultural, gender and diversity sensitivity
    • Strategic, analytical and process thinking abilities
    • Ability to develop and present concepts and trainings
  • Excellent MS Office skills and usage of virtual collaboration in daily business
