Human Resources Associate At Save the Children

The role:

The Human Resource Associate will perform administrative tasks and services to support effective and efficient operations of the SCP’s Human Resources Unit.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Provides clerical support to the HR Unit.
  • Maintains accurate and up-to-date human resource files, records, and documentation
  • Maintains the integrity and confidentiality of human resource files and records
  • Performs periodic audits of HR files and records to ensure that all required documents are collected and filed appropriately.
  • Answers frequently asked questions from applicants and employees relative to standard policies, benefits, hiring processes, etc.; refers more complex questions to appropriate senior-level HR staff or management
  • May assist with payroll functions including processing, answering employee questions, fixing processing errors, and distributing pay slips
  • Acts as a liaison between the organization and external benefits providers and vendors, which may include health, disability, and life insurance plan providers (Intellicare, Jeonsoft, SSS, EC, Philhealth, Pag-Ibig Fund, Sunlife etc)
  • Conducts or assists with new hire orientation
  • Assists with planning and execution of special events such as benefits enrollment, organization-wide meetings, employee recognition events, holiday parties, and retirement celebrations.
  • Maintains compliance with government and labor laws and regulations, and recommended HR best practices
  • Performs other HR duties as assigned by HR manager

Qualification and experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, industrial relations or related field required.
  • At least 2 years’ experience in human resources functions preferred; in an NGO, INGO, humanitarian or development sector is a plus
  • Strong sense of urgency and work ethics
  • Must be a team player, or ability to coordinate and work well with others
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office, Oracle, or HR related software.
  • Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn payroll management, human resource information system (HRIS), and similar computer applications.

Contract length: Casual employment until 31 December 2021
