Human Resources Coordinator in Geneva (only candidates with an EU/EFTA nationality) At Assessment Capacities Project

Purpose of the position

The post-holder will provide a range of operational human resources support, from recruitment to performance management, employees relations and employment legislation. The post-holder will also support staff with personnel management and provide advice in personnel processes when relevant.

Generic responsibilities

  • Support and contribute to the development and implementation of HR initiatives and systems
  • Provide advice and guidance on policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with the local labor law, employment’ standards and HR policies, as well as NRC policies
  • Coordinate recruitment processes, including development and review of job descriptions, draft and post advertisements, review of candidate eligibility, coordinate tests and interviews, participate in interview, manage communication with candidates and coordinate decision processes.
  • Look after the health, safety and welfare of all employees
  • Create and implement effective onboarding plans
  • Build staff development programs
  • Assist and monitor performance management processes
  • Support the management of disciplinary and grievance issues
  • Review employment and working conditions to ensure legal compliance
  • Support and train employees with staff management responsibilities
  • Build good working relationship with NRC HR departments
  • Keep abreast with latest HR trends and initiatives and apply to ACAPS, when relevant

Context/ Specific skills, knowledge and experience

  • Master’s degree in human resources
  • HR Credentials/certifications
  • Proven experience in human resources (minimum 3 years in a similar position)
  • Working knowledge/good understanding of Swiss labour laws and systems and the “Code of Obligations”
  • Good knowledge of recruitment systems and platforms
  • Solid knowledge of HR functions, including recruitment and talent development, and solid understanding of HR best practices
  • Understanding of labor laws and disciplinary procedures
  • Proficiency in English
