Human Resources Officer – Regional At Action against Hunger Spain

Under the leadership of their hierarchical and functional managers, the HR Officer facilitates administrative management in personnel matters, especially supporting the implementation of the global HR strategy, and guaranteeing the correct use of HR management tools, Action against Hunger in the Colombia mission; performs its tasks in accordance with Colombian legislation and the organization’s HR policy.

The main activities you will perform are the following:

Objective 1: Support in human talent management

  • Implements and monitors in the Region and in the Action Against Hunger field teams, with support from the mission’s HR Department, the HR strategy and HR policies.
  • Manages, in support of team managers, the recruitment and selection processes of personnel (call, receipt of CVs, summons for tests, participation in interviews, verification of titles/certificate/diploma) guaranteeing transparency and compliance with the selection policy. .
  • Prepares contracts for local personnel who enter as part of the UGC and for local personnel who enter as part of the field teams of the Action Against Hunger Region. Likewise, it prepares the renewal of current contracts.
  • Follows up on employment contracts, trial periods, and contract termination notifications of local staff of the Action Against Hunger Region field teams.
  • Conduct exit surveys
  • Follows up on performance evaluations, disabilities and vacations of local staff of the field teams of the Action Against Hunger Region
  • Makes the affiliations of the personnel who enter the Social Security system
  • Prepares labor certificates, requests institutional cards and opens payroll accounts
  • Keeps the personnel file of the Action Against Hunger Region updated
  • Participate in audits regarding personnel documentation
  • It guarantees that the people who join are up to date with hiring, implementation of the welcome plan, signing of institutional documents
  • Ensures the updating of information related to HR: personnel list, People platform, list of contact information, organizational chart, job descriptions
  • Promotes and supervises compliance with the internal regulations of all personnel hired by ACH-E in Colombia
  • Preparation of news report on the monthly payroll of the Action Against Hunger Region
  • Follows up on developments that affect Social Security and Parafiscal payments of local staff of the Action Against Hunger Region
  • Prepares settlements and severance payments for local staff of the Action Against Hunger Region
  • Provides training and support to employees in the implementation of administrative processes related to HR: performance evaluations based on competencies, job descriptions, etc.

Objective 2: Comply with other specific office support tasks related to your position and responsibilities.

  • Execute those tasks inherent to the position that are requested according to the context and needs of the Regional

  1. Qualified professional in the administrative, financial or related area of ​​the position.
  2. Knowledge of labor legislation and occupational safety, HR management.
  3. Minimum 2 years experience in administrative and Human Resources work.
  4. Understanding of the rights approach particularly in relation to conflict dynamics and peacebuilding
  5. Desirable Knowledge of the organization and its lines of action
  6. Languages: intermediate English (spoken and/or written).
  7. Mastery of office tools (Office); Advanced command of Excel is essential. Knowledge of ICT tools.
  8. Availability for geographic mobility (travel to work areas, specific support to them).
  9. Commitments to gender equality and zero tolerance for abuse: Previous experience on issues related to the promotion of gender equality or personal commitment to gender equality is valuable.
