Humanitarian Access & Security Assistant Internship at Handicap International – Humanity & Inclusion

WORK CONTEXT:

Indignant at the injustice experienced by people with disabilities and vulnerable populations, we aspire to a united and inclusive world, where all differences enrich us and where everyone can “live on their own”.

The Handicap International Federation, commonly known as “Humanity & Inclusion” (HI) is an independent and impartial international solidarity organization, which intervenes in situations of poverty and exclusion, conflicts and disasters. Working alongside people with disabilities and vulnerable populations, it acts and testifies to meet their essential needs, to improve their living conditions and promote respect for their dignity and their fundamental rights.

Present in more than 55 countries, HI implements activities in the service of vulnerable populations; populations exposed to the risk of disease, violence or disabling accidents; people who have suffered severe psychological trauma; refugee, disaster or displaced populations; populations exposed to the danger of weapons, ammunition and explosive devices.

Through its operational unit “Atlas Logistics”, HI benefits from expertise in the implementation of logistics services and supply chain management during humanitarian crises. Among its sectors of intervention are shared transport and storage, light civil engineering, capacity building for transport players and logistics analysis. Atlas Logistique is committed to optimizing the impact of humanitarian aid and guaranteeing its distribution as efficiently as it is efficient.
