While we want to promote the interests of British Citizens, we also have ambitious development and humanitarian objectives, and as such, we are in need of Humanitarian Advisors who will play a vital role in humanitarian policy engagement, diplomacy and aid delivery. Whilst the current vacancy is advertised for Bangladesh, reserve candidates from this recruitment will be considered for future vacancies elsewhere – whether in the UK or overseas.

In this three-year fixed-term contract, you will be located in our Bangladesh office where you will work flexibly to advocate UK humanitarian objectives. This will mean building relationships and working externally with a large range of humanitarian partners and governments. Internally you will be working with colleagues at all levels, with a particular emphasis on senior officials and Ministers. Working collaboratively with HQ humanitarian policy and research teams, you will see to it that all are learning from each other, which will result in the development of impactful humanitarian policies and diplomacy. You will also provide technical advice on the design, delivery, monitoring and evaluation of a broad range of humanitarian programmes, giving them the best chance of success. In addition to programme and project management this post covers policy and diplomacy

Reserve list – Candidates who meet the required level at interview will be kept on a reserve list for 12 months. Should another humanitarian adviser, or substantially similar vacancy arise within this period overseas or in the UK, we may offer it to a reserve candidate from this specific recruitment campaign.
