Salary: Php 631,953 per annum net of taxes

Context

The position is based in Manila Administrative Centre (MAC), headed by the Director of MAC. Information and Communications Technology (ICT) is one of the Divisions with its operations delocalized to MAC. Under the overall supervision of the ICT Officer (Business Processes) and direct supervision of the ICT Officer (Quality Assurance) and coordination with the ICT Associate (Quality Assurance), the ICT Assistant (Quality Assurance) will have overall responsibility to assist the software quality assurance testing and application support to ensure that Software conforms to standards. The incumbent should increase effectiveness and efficiency of testing and the testing process and generate creative solutions to complex testing issues.

Required Qualifications and Experience

Education:

  • University degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field from an accredited academic institution with three years of relevant professional experience; or
  • Completed High School with five years of relevant professional experience.

Experience

  • Experience in software quality assurance testing and/or technical support;
  • In depth understanding of software development and test methodologies and processes;
  • Experience writing test plans, detailed test cases, and other formal test documentation;
  • Experience with test automation tools and automation scripting;
  • Experience testing web technologies; knowledgeable in different browsers.
  • Creativity and ability to try unanticipated operations to look for defects;
  • Ability to trouble shoot;
  • Demonstrates creativity, innovation and ethical thinking in applying solutions for the benefit of the customer/stakeholder.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills.
  • Communicates effectively, both formally and informally.
