Overview of position:
CTG is looking for candidates whose experience match the below TOR.
Role objectives:
Design & deploy network solutions, LANs, WANs, VOIP & wireless networks, including switches, routers, firewalls & other security appliances.
Perform installation, maintenance & upgrade of security related network equipment such as firewall or proxy devices, in particular checkpoint’s products & systems.
Maintain high availability & clustered firewall environment using checkpoint HA.
Safeguarding the organization IT landscapes by efficiently resolving incidents, proactively preventing security threats & implementing changes accurately on the first attempt.
Conduct internal studies of network security & traffic analysis, monitor network connectivity & ensure high quality data transmission.
Monitor firewall activities, IPS & relevant policies to ensure secure data transmissions.
Protect the firewall infrastructure by implementing best practices & correct hardening standards.
Review & mitigate vulnerabilities as reported by security vulnerability notifications & assessment reports.
Administration of Cisco ISE & TACACS configuration & ensuring appropriate network security, data security & access controls are implemented as per the organization’s policies.
Maintain & support the mission VoIP network (Cisco unified communications).
Identify, diagnose & resolve network problems & provide technical support for network connectivity & related issues.
Assist in providing end user support as required.
Perform other related duties as required.
Project reporting:
This role reports to the line manager.
Knowledge & experience:
Minimum 5 years of experience in deploying & maintaining network security systems (firewalls, IDS / IPS, threat management systems, etc.) is required.
Experience is deploying, configuring & maintaining checkpoint unified threat management systems is required.
Minimum 3 years of experience in planning, designing & management large enterprise network is desirable.
Proven analytical & problem solving abilities.
Experience working in a team oriented, collaborative environment.
Education / certifications:
High school diploma is required.
Certifications in CCSA, CCSE & CCNA is required.
Team management:
This role has no team management responsibility.
