Information and Knowledge Management Support – Operations department (m/f/x) – MSF Belgium – Brussels
CONTEXT
Field operations of MSF Operational Centre Brussels (OCB) are guided by the Department of Operations.
As part of the upcoming priorities, the Operations Department is currently restructuring the way digital information is being managed. The objective is to address storage and maintenance, use, archiving and final disposition of records in the custody of MSF OCB, and to improve related practices. This project started in October 2021 and should last for a total of 2 years.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Under the responsibility of the Information and Knowledge Management Officer of the Operations department, the Information and Knowledge Management Support will:
- Support the ongoing restructuring of digital information management by giving assistance to the:
- Re-organization and archiving of Regional Support Teams digital information
- Migration of Operational information to the new standards
- Building guidelines, standard operational procedures and training materials
- Support the maintenance, monitoring, mapping and review of the Operational platforms by:
- Developing user guides and support materials
- Developing, updating and migrating content
- Providing access
- Monitoring the use
- Support the IKM training and onboarding strategy by giving assistance to the:
- Briefing/debriefing of new department and field staff
- Training sessions
- Development of training material
- Edit the Operational monthly Newsletter
- Support the Operations Community of Practice strategy by giving assistance to the
- Operations events (online or F2F) organization
- Plan, implementation and development
REQUIREMENTS
Education & Experience
- Education in either information and knowledge management, communications, library science, archival science or related fields is an asset
- At least 1 year of professional experience either in information and knowledge management, archiving or communications
- Experience with information management, knowledge management and/or communications is a strong asset
- Eventual relevant working experience linked to the function is an asset

CONDITIONS
- Expected starting date: April 2023
- Location*: Brussels (Belgium)
- Contract type: Fixed-term contract – Full time
- Contract duration: 9 months
- Salary according to MSF-OCB HQ grid – Meal vouchers – Hospital Insurance (DKV) – Pension Plan – 100% reimbursement for public transportation costs
