About the Syria Response programme:
MAG has been responding to the Syria crisis since 2013 working to support the development from conflict by finding and destroying the explosive remnants of war, so that communities can raise their families and pursue their livelihoods in a safe and secure environment, free from fear of death or injury.

About the role:
Reporting to the Programme Development Manager the Information Management and Systems coordinator will provide support to, and capacity build, a team of national staff to ensure that Information Management services are delivered in an accurate and timely manner to all internal and external stakeholders. Working in a dynamic team of national and international staff, the position will support the development of the new Information Management system, as well as establishing and maintaining related policies and procedures
About you:
You will have advanced skills and knowledge in IM systems with GIS applications and have the ability to train and develop the skills of relevant teams. Knowledge of ESRI ArcGIS, QGIS, KOBO Platforms and Creative Cloud products is also essential. MAG Syria Response is a complex and dynamic Mine Action programme that is currently restructuring and growing. Therefore, you will also be experienced in effectively collecting, analysing and reporting operational data, alongside developing and implementing information systems. Ideally, you will have experience working overseas in the international aid or development sector, in a conflict / post conflict environment, and be able to demonstrate the ability to work independently with minimum supervision. Fluency in English is essential, whilst Arabic language skills will be desirable.
