We are looking to recruit a highly experienced Innovation Manager to apply their skills in Elrha’s fast-paced and creative Humanitarian Innovation Fund team, and lead on the strategic development and delivery of the HIF’s thematic innovation focus area on inclusion of people with disability and older people.

Our team of Innovation Managers are passionate about developing creative innovation processes and managing their innovation grant portfolios by working with sector experts to identify the most pressing problems, analysing opportunities for innovation and designing funding calls—innovation challenges—to address them.

You will need to bring your expertise in the fields of inclusion and innovation to provide technical oversight and effective management across a portfolio of innovation grants through fostering effective partnerships and providing support to grantees. You will need to be a talented communicator who can facilitate workshops in an engaging way and tell compelling stories about our innovations in order to achieve maximum impact.

This post requires an individual looking for a challenging role, who is ready to take on this exciting and varied opportunity in a busy and ambitious team. You will lead on the strategic development and operational delivery of our innovation focus area on the inclusion of people with disability and older people and will need to demonstrate:

  • significant experience in the design and delivery of structured innovation processes, bringing ideas from conception to completion
  • excellent communication and facilitation skills, and the ability to build and maintain strong working relationships with a diverse stakeholder audience
  • highly motivated self-starter with experience of working on sensitive or complex issues, for example vulnerable or marginalised groups, protection, or disability.
  • be able to adapt to shifting priorities and responsibilities as the situation demands

If you feel you have the skills and experience we’re looking for, please review the full job description for further details. Please ensure you complete the personal statement as part of the application process to explain how you feel you meet the requirements of the role and why you feel this is the next career move for you.

Covid-19 restrictions permitting, Elrha’s staff are usually based at our offices in London and Cardiff. While the preference is for the Innovation Manager to be able to work in one of these locations, remote working may be possible for the right candidate.
