INSTITUTIONAL PARTNERSHIP DEVELOPMENT MANAGER At SOS Villaggi dei Bambini – Italia

Tasks and Responsibilities:
In accordance with the organisation’s objectives:
• ensure the implementation of the fundraising plan and institutional partnerships and the achievement of the quantitative and qualitative objectives set;
• promote and maintain partnership relations with Institutions and other partners, towards the implementation of project initiatives, both in Italy and abroad.

Main tasks:
• identify and define effective project proposals in accordance with specific financing lines, national and international donors, granting the quality of project proposals;
• liaise with the other areas of the organization, in order to ensure the implementation of the programme priorities through the use of institutional funds;
• foster relationships with private and public donors;
• define and maintain a roster of consultants to be involved in drafting and presenting project proposals;
• cooperate with Administration, Finance and Control department, ensuring that funded projects are adequately reported in compliance with timing and guidelines of the donor and internal procedures;
• represent the organization within national and international networks and meetings, both internal and external to the SOS Children’s Villages federation;
• establish and maintain partnerships with other organizations and potential stakeholders in different fields, in order to establish networks at local, national, European and international level;
• contribute to IPD planning, identifying the annual targets to be achieved and monitoring their progress.

Professional Experiences:
• Minimum 5 years professional experience in institutional fundraising management.
• Proven knowledge of major institutional donor programmes at national and international level.
• Proven experience in writing projects in the context of tenders issued by institutional donors; knowledge of procedures and guidelines of international tenders, with particular reference to AICS and European Union.

Knowledge and experience
• Master’s Degree in International Cooperation, Political Sciences or other related disciplines.
• Good knowledge of international Child Protection guidelines and social policies in Italy.
• Excellent knowledge of basic design tools.
• Knowledge of Italian and European funding channels, both public and private.
• Excellent knowledge of MS Office, Outlook and Internet; good knowledge of communication skills and technologies.
• Excellent writing skills in Italian and English.
• Knowledge of French is a plus.

Other Skills
• Excellent interpersonal, teamwork and networking skills.
• Available for short missions in Italy; abroad in Europe or outside Europe.
