Job Responsibilities:
The Integrated Information Systems Analyst I will monitor and correct data quality issues across the information systems supported by the team and will fulfill user data requests as needed.
Responsibilities include data analysis, , data mining for reports and queries, internal reporting, support of data integrity management, vendor support, and other IIS team projects as needed.
Data Quality Control (50% of time sp
ent)

  • Follow established processes to resolve data duplication and other data quality issues within each of the systems supported by the Integrated Information Systems team, including the integrations that populate data from one system to another.
  • Fol
    low established protocols to ensure that any duplication management in one system, is reflected (as necessary) in other systems IIS manages.
  • Collaborate with the Operational Quality Analyst to make recommendations based on data quality observations to processes that improve and/or automate those processes.
  • Proactively identify data quality issues and trends; make recommendations to prevent these from occurring in the future. Recommendations could include system or integration changes, or user education initiatives.

Operational and Project Support (30% of time spent)

  • Support the Integrated Information Systems team in specific data work, including data imports and exports, data cleanup projects, system functionality testing, system reporting and querying, and consulting with stakeholders on data hygiene best practices.
  • For new information system i
    mplementations and new functionality being developed in existing systems, serve as the project team data expert. This may include working with stakeholders on data migration or data mapping issues and representing the IIS team to GKIM to ensure they understand and are meeting our data needs.
  • Document data quality processes, both for IIS and larger staff audiences. Document decisions made affecting data, including dropdowns, changes to the way fields are used, decisions made related to data migrations and mapping.
  • Add new sustainers and update sustainer information each month prior to the sustainer run process.

Team Support (20% of time spent)

  • Utilize knowledge of data using across information systems to support reports and queries – creation, consistent usage and troubleshooting, and to support business analysis of new functionality.
  • Prov
    ide statistics on data quality remediation efforts, both to gauge the overall health of systems, and as a way of showing the impact of our data quality work.
  • Serve as the primary or secondary backup to many of the functions performed by the Integrated Information Systems team:
  • Running routine system processes
  • Fulfilling user system requests, and troubleshooting and resolving user system issues that are reported

Internal: Donor Services, Charitable Giving, Mission and Mobilization, and Marketing and Communications, Global Knowledge and Information Management
External: Vendors, Consultants
Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field, such as
    business or information systems
  • 3-4 years of experience using relational database applications along with various database reporting tools, desktop computer software including Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office. Experience should include one or more of: data quality support; software development lifecycle; software help desk support
  • Direct response marketing background with working knowledge of nonprofit fundraising communications programs and techniques is preferred
