Our Global Response Centre, based in Cape Town, South Africa works closely with our local in country teams to respond to medical emergency situations for Committed To Good (CTG) & other clients
Background information – Role specific:
During the 6 month internship the candidate will work with a variety of departments within the organization such as client services, network management, medical desk & operations.
Operations:
Assist in emergency operations: Support the coordination of emergency response activities, including monitoring emergency situations, communicating as first responders & updating response plans.
Liaising via phone & email with clients and providers. Corresponding with medical desk for medical reviews, medical claims & medical guidance on cases.
Data management: Collect, analyse & maintain emergency response data. Ensure accurate documentation of incidents & activities.
Administrative support: Perform general administrative tasks such as scheduling meetings, preparing reports & maintaining emergency contact lists. This also includes the processing of claims & raising of PO’s.
Additional duties: Perform other duties as assigned by the Operations Manager
Client services:
Research potential clients for medical assistance services.
Assist in communicating with clients via email & phone.
Respond to client inquiries, gather relevant information & provide updates.
Follow up on action items resulting from client meetings.
Network management:
Research potential clients worldwide.
Contact, attend meetings & contract networks providers / facilities worldwide.
Liaise via email & telephone with potential providers & existing providers.
Update network database continuously.
Create & maintain network maps & data.
Project reporting:
This role reports to the Global Operations Manager.

Location: Cape Town, South Africa (only candidates based in Cape Town, South Africa will be considered for this role).
Duration: 6 months.
Qualification: Recent graduate in a relevant field (e.g., healthcare management, business administration, international relations, emergency management) is preferred.
Sector experience: None required.
Nationality: South African citizens or in the possession of a valid work visa / permit.
Languages: Fluent in English & French (essential).
