Intern at the reception, orientation and support center – operational support and communication (M/F) – Paris At Doctors of the World

Do you want to join an activist association and develop a career that makes sense? Join us! When you work at Médecins du Monde, you know why you get up in the morning: great causes to defend, a friendly professional environment, a work-life balance and also great prospects for development! The wide variety of our projects opens up many opportunities for internal mobility with access to individual and group training, to support everyone’s career path.

You know us without knowing us: Médecins du Monde is a militant medical association for international solidarity present in nearly 30 countries and through 15 regional delegations in France. For over 40 years, we have been committed to treating the most vulnerable populations and to bearing witness to the obstacles observed regarding access to care. You are not a doctor? Don’t panic, 84% of employees hold non-medical positions.

We have more than 500 employees under French law, but also 1,700 employees in the field internationally and nearly 1,600 volunteers in France. Civic engagement and volunteering are at the heart of our associative model. At Médecins du Monde, volunteers and employees have a common commitment: solidarity. We invite you to embody this value by working alongside us!

The “CAOA” (Reception, Orientation and Support Center) program of Médecins du Monde in Paris has been working since 1986 with people in precarious situations who encounter difficulties in accessing care and health rights for multiple reasons (lack of knowledge of their health rights, complexity of procedures, saturation of systems in the medico-social sector, unsuitability of services for certain precarious people, etc.).

To improve access to care and health rights for people in precarious situations, the program implements:

  • Weekly medical-psycho-social support at the center in the 12th arrondissement;
  • Collective awareness-raising and training activities;
  • Networking with medical-social stakeholders (institutions, associations, collectives);
  • Advocacy actions with institutions and the general public.
