Intern – CARE for South Asia Project At Asian Disaster Preparedness Center

Purpose and Objectives:

With the financial support from the World Bank Group ADPC is implementing a five-year project titled “Climate Adaptation and Resilience Project for South Asia” (CARE). The project short name WBCAR, aims to create an enabling environment for climate resilience policies and investments across South Asia. This objective will be achieved through enhanced regional cooperation and knowledge exchange for climate resilience and adaptation and mainstreaming of resilience and adaptation in national policies, plans and investments.

To support the WBCAR project, ADPC is engaging an intern to assist team members in various administrative activities required for implementation of the project.

Expected Outputs:

  • Support the team members in daily RIG activities
  • Support the team members to ensure successful implementation of workshops and events, including planning, logistics, coordination and finalizing liquidations etc, wherever required.

Responsibilities and Tasks:

  • Assist in program administration functions and assistance to all team members in organization of daily/weekly/monthly RIG activities;
  • Assist in regular checking a database of program documents in relation to program activities and other key documents, e.g. published ToRs, RFPs, memos, performance evaluations etc; calendar of events and status, development of electronic and hard copy file system;
  • Assist team members in preparing and checking administrative documents, e.g. RFPs, Liquidation Reports, PR, and Internet charging
  • Assist team members and other program staff for routine correspondence between program staff, internal and external organizations and for making international and local travel arrangements, assistance in travel advance settlement;
  • Assist team members with logistics and administrative preparations for regional workshops and events, e.g. visa facilitation, hotel arrangements, invitation letters, status updates
  • Other duties as assigned

Working Principles: The intern will report to Project Manager and maintain close coordination with PIU.

Requirements:

  • Pursuing or a minimum of a bachelor’s degree in business administration, development studies, social sciences or any other related fields
  • Well versed with using MS applications (Words, Excel), database and presentation software such as PowerPoint.
  • Good command of English, both written and spoken
  • Demonstrated experience in office functions, general office administration and office maintenance;
  • Eagerness to contribute to the team and learn;
  • Enthusiastic and willing to work in a multi-cultural environment;
  • Only for Thai Nationality

Duty Station: Bangkok, Thailand

Duration: 8 August 2022 to 7 February 2023

Condition of payment: USD 320 per month for 6 months upon submission of monthly timesheet
