Intern – Development of private philanthropy M/F At Doctors Without Borders

Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) is an international humanitarian medical association, created in 1971, which helps sick or injured populations in the context of armed conflicts, epidemics, natural disasters or exclusion from care. MSF employs more than 40,000 people worldwide. Nearly 98% financed by private donations, MSF operates completely independently in more than 70 countries around the world.

We are looking for an Intern – Private Philanthropy Development.

Mission:

Within the private fundraising department, the philanthropy department deals with resources from large individual donors and private foundations. Under the responsibility of the philanthropy managers, the mission of the philanthropy center intern will be to support the team (made up of 4 people) for the development of resources from large individual donors and private foundations, on the files following:

Main activities :

Prospecting and research:

  • Identify and research information on donors, prospects and private foundations
  • Participate in the development of tailor-made proposals for certain major donors and key prospects
  • Establish benchmarks on initiatives related to philanthropy, based on the needs of the division

Monitoring and retaining major donors:

  • Participate in the management of marketing campaigns and operational monitoring of fundraising from major donors and private foundations
  • Develop and update tools for monitoring service activity: contact databases and CRM tool, meeting and activity reports
  • Participate in the organization of department events (lunches, meetings, webinars, etc.)

Transversal :

  • Monitor donations and their registration in conjunction with the donor relations department
  • Participate in the design or updating of communication supports (letters, project sheets, presentations, calls for projects, etc.)
  • Collaborate with the teams from the Corporate Partnerships division and the Direct Marketing department
  • Contribute to sharing information with members of other private fundraising services, MSF departments and entities (MSF Foundation, international teams)
  • Contribute to monitoring philanthropy, fundraising from private foundations and major donors as well as economic and financial trends in order to identify growth levers

Required profile :

Formation :

  • Training in higher education such as Grande école, IEP, university; preferably marketing-communication specialization
  • Students in Master 1 or Master 2

Experience: First experience appreciated in the sponsorship/CSR sector.

SKILLS :

  • Excellent writing skills
  • Mastery of the pack Office
  • Good knowledge of the web

Languages: fluent French and English (written and spoken).

Status: 6-month full-time internship. Position based in Paris. Mandatory internship agreement

Conditions :

The amount of the bonus is between €4.35 and €7.70 gross per hour depending on the level of studies, for internships lasting more than one month.

Position to be filled : From July 2024
