Context:
The Human Resources Unit of IOM Philippines Country Office supports all IOM Personnel of the Mission in terms of human resources needs on recruitment to separation. Working under the overall supervision of the Resource Management Officer, and under the direct supervision of the Senior HR Assistant, in coordination with the Mission’s Programme Support Unit, the intern will assist with providing graphic design and layout services dedicated to the Human Resources Unit of the Mission.
Core Functions / Responsibilities:
- Participate in producing high-quality graphic design and layout services for the HR Unit. This includes:
- Creating professional high-quality graphic design and layout such as, but not limited to, reports, manuals, posters, brochures, infosheets, and infographics.
- Producing high-quality audio-visual presentations and video campaign materials for the HR unit.
- Conceptualizing communication messages and visibility materials to promote work and activities in the HR Unit.
- Assist in the creative design and layout of HR related campaigns and outputs on information, education, and communication materials.
- Assist in the HR Unit’s pursuit of proper information dissemination to all IOM personnel that the Unit supports.
- Perform other duties as required by the Senior HR Assistant and the team.
Training Components and Learning Elements
- Gain experience in working in an international multicultural environment, within the United Nations system.
- Gain experience on Human Resources practices in line with IOM and UN standards.
- Acquire experience and technical knowledge of Human Resources profession.

Required Qualifications and Experience
Education
- Enrolled in the final academic year of a first university degree programme (minimum Bachelor’s level or equivalent)
- University or Master’s degree (or a student approaching the end of a Master’s or University degree) in Advertising, Fine Arts, or a related field from an accredited academic institution.
Experience
- High level of computer literacy including proficiency in MS Office applications.
- Knowledge of principles and practices of graphic design.
- Creative flair and the ability to generate ideas
- Efficient, flexible, results-driven, and creative.
- A deep commitment to IOM’s vision, mission, and values.
Languages
For this position, fluency in English is required (oral and written).

Eligibility and Selection
In general, the Internship Programme aims at attracting talented students and graduates who: Have a specific interest in, or whose studies have covered, areas relevant to IOM programmes and activities;
- Have a specific interest in, or whose studies have covered, areas relevant to IOM programmes and activities;
- Are holding a scholarship for internship placements in international organizations and/or for whom internship is required to complete their studies; or
- Are sponsored by governmental/non-governmental institutions and/or academia to work in specific areas relevant to both IOM and the sponsor;
- are either students approaching the end of their studies and preparing a thesis, or recently graduated, who have less than two years of relevant working experience;
- are between 20 and 36 years of age.

Appointment will be subject to certification that the candidate is medically fit for appointment, accreditation, any residency or visa requirements, and security clearances.
