Founded in 1994 in Montreal, the International Bureau for Children’s Rights, “The Bureau” or “the IBCR” is an international non-governmental organization working for the protection and promotion of children’s rights around the world.

SUMMARY OF THE INTERNSHIP OFFER
As part of your internship, you will be required to provide cross-functional support to the operations, human resources, administration and finance teams.
RESPONSIBILITIES BY DEPARTMENT
- Operations
- Support in the writing of donor reports or internal reports
- Conduct research on the internal and external environment of the project
- Support the development of project planning and monitoring tools (Gantt, WBS, etc.)
- Support the updating of project monitoring tools, particularly the risk matrix.
- Support in the development and maintenance of project configuration standards.
- Support the development of training modules for project managers.
- Support, where necessary, the budgetary monitoring of projects.
2.Human resources
- Support human resources in reviewing and updating tools, human resources reference documents for IBCR offices and projects
- Support the administrative monitoring of staff employed and cooperating in the field (timesheets, visas, etc.)
- Support satellite offices by participating in monitoring updates to labor standards in Canada and in satellite offices
- Writing, translation, linguistic revision of documents in French and English and according to linguistic skills, in Spanish.
- Participate in recruitment processes (posting, sorting of applications, organization of written tests and interviews, etc.)
- Maintain recruitment dashboards and strategies (positions at headquarters, in satellite offices, internships and the PCV) up to date
3. Administration -Logistics
- Support the pre-deployment organization of personnel (plane ticket, visa, hotel reservation, etc.)
- Support the administrative assistant in building management: monitoring of suppliers, coordination of deliveries and organization of common areas of the Office, reception management, archiving of administrative documentation
4. Finances
- Support the finance department during the annual fiscal closing
- Support accounting and financial archiving
- Support, where necessary, the budgetary monitoring of projects
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
Requirements
- University training in international studies, political science, human resources, industrial relations, finance or any other related discipline
- Excellent writing and communication skills in French and English
- Knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite
- Finance: mastery of Excel at an intermediate or advanced level.
- Comfortable working in a team
- Autonomy and resourcefulness
- Adaptability
- Priority management
- Valid work or study permit in Canada
