About the Role:

The Internal Controller, Senegal, is a important role responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of data, revenue, and reconciliation processes within myAgro’s operations in Senegal. Beyond overseeing sales operations tasks, you will manage the duties of an internal controller as described below.

You will collaborate with the Sales Operations Manager to identify risks, draw up control schedules, and ensure compliance with procedures and regulations. You will will conduct audits, identifying any malfunctions, and making recommendations for improvement. Moreover, you’ll oversee the implementation of recommendations and monitor the application of internal control standards.

Your role will also involve supervising a team responsible for data processing, communication with field team members, and ensuring the proper collection, analysis, and processing of data.

You Will:

  • Provide technical and operational oversight of all data, revenue, and reconciliation processes to ensure accuracy and integrity within myAgro’s operations in Senegal
  • Supervise a small team of assistants in HQ to assist in data processing and communication with the field team members
  • Coordinate with the product team members for backend database integration and maintenance
  • Liaise with mobile money partner organization to troubleshoot problems and coordinate future growth activities
  • Create dashboards and reports to enable field team members to follow up on discrepancies in the field
  • Conduct ongoing training sessions for field team members to ensure respect of operating procedures
  • Oversee card distribution and card inventory control processes to ensure that card inventories, cash collections, and SMS sales are matching up across clients within Senegal
  • Identify risks based on different activities and regulatory changes, collaborating with management to draw up control schedules
  • Ensure the effectiveness of risk management and internal control systems, overseeing the implementation of recommendations from audits
  • Monitor the application of internal control standards by carrying out spot checks and ensure feedback of reliable information

You Have:

  • A degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or a related field is required
  • At least 5 years of relevant work experience in a similar role
  • Proficiency in Excel or other analytical tools for data manipulation and reporting.
  • Experience with Tableau and Salesforce
  • Experience in Automation
  • Prior managerial experience
  • Proficiency in English and French
