Terms of Reference (ToR)

EQUALITY for Peace and Development established in 2010 has evolved a lot. Today EPD is one of the top 10 Afghan CSOs having a presence in provinces and managing several small to medium-scale projects in Afghanistan. The organization has expanded quite rapidly and made sure to have the human resource, policies, strategies, and systems in place required for effective and transparent implementation of projects. EPD is looking for an International Intern to join the EPD family by assuming the following responsibilities:

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Assist with the development of research and assessment methodologies including sample size, coverage, questionnaires, and research tools
• Assist with desk reviews
• Assist with conducting proper qualitative and quantitative analysis using CAQDA and statistical software
• Ensure smooth and accurate data collection process and implement quality control measures
• Drafting reports, policy briefs, and papers
• Designing the layout of the reports and papers
• Identify resource opportunities and needs; review Requests For Proposals (RFPs);
• Develop proposals in coordination with EPD management including project objectives/outcomes/deliverables, implementation methods, timetable, staffing, budget, standards of performance, and evaluation; writing, revising, and editing drafts including executive summaries, conclusions, and organization credentials
• Prepare presentations on projects and proposals when required

Qualification:

• Should be a graduate of social science, conflict resolution, public policy, etc.
• Excellent command of English in both writing and speaking
• Unique interpersonal and communication skills
• Able to work with a dynamic and diverse team and produce the best result even during crises and under work pressure
