Who is Project Armonia?
We are a grassroots organisation acting in solidarity with people on the move to promote equal access to nutrition and education.
For the past two years, we have operated a free-restaurant that served over 1000 healthy and nutritious meals per day to people on the move on the hotspot island of Samos. We have worked with a diverse team of 29 different nationalities.
Now, we have a new exciting challenge ahead! We are currently setting up a new project in the city of Athens.
Role & Responsibilities
We are looking for a creative yet analytical individual to join our team, who understands the techniques of online communications, networking and fundraising.
Job description:
- Online networking and creating new partnerships to spread the word about our work
- Writing and distributing our monthly newsletter
- Managing website maintenance & updates (WordPress, Elementor)
- Serve as a point of contact for media and public questions
- Support with drafting donor and annual progress reports
- Support with grant-writing and donor relation building
- Coordinating content development and graphics for communication purposes
- Coordinating fundraising campaigns and materials and ensuring their timely delivery
- Revising and putting in place social media strategies
- Implementing and evaluating the effectiveness of communications campaigns and strategies
Essential Requirements
- Fluency in written and spoken English
- Three years of professional experience working in a communications/media/fundraising role
- Demonstrable experience of writing effective, thoughtful, high-quality content
- Excellent written and oral communication skills with attention to detail
Other requirements
- Ability to work well, both independently and within a team
- Able to act on own initiative and take responsible decisions
- Evidence of commitment to ongoing professional and personal development
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage priorities
Desired skills & experience
- Fluency in German
- Experience in working in non-profit/ non-governmental sector
- Strong knowledge and understanding of the political context in which we operate
- Ability to create visually compelling content
