The association
Asmae is an independent and secular association under the 1901 law recognized as being of public utility. It was created in 1980 by Sister Emmanuelle to provide protection and education to the most vulnerable children and young people in the world. Present in 8 countries: Egypt, Lebanon, India, the Philippines, Madagascar, Burkina Faso, Ivory Coast and France, Asmae supports local actors while also acting at the institutional level.
The teams of Asmae – Association Sœur Emmanuelle, in France and internationally, continue the work of their founder while respecting her values and methods: listening and proximity, pragmatism, taking into account differences, professionalism and reciprocity.

Since 2014, the association has been running a prevention and awareness program on children’s rights, so that they are better respected and applied.
For the next school year 2024-2025, Asmae will deploy its girls-boys equality module for high schools in Ile-de-France.
As part of the “Olympe” Program for the success of girls in scientific and technical fields funded by the Ile-de-France Region, we are looking for an intern to be mobilized on the following missions:
- Participate in the implementation of the awareness project within high schools in the Paris region;
- Lead awareness workshops alone and/or in pairs;
- Participate in the search for new partner establishments;
- Help create new educational tools;
- Participate in the different times of Asmae’s associative life;
- Participate in internal training (child protection, children’s rights, gender equality).
Your profile
Training/knowledge
- You ideally have a Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree 1-2 in the field of Educational Sciences, Political Sciences, Human and Social Sciences
- You have knowledge of project cycle management
- You have knowledge of participation issues and the gender-based approach . Notions relating to monitoring/evaluation and issues related to childhood would be a plus.
- You have good writing skills and mastery of the Office Pack

You are said to be committed and involved in your projects and you also have:
- An interest in human rights/children’s rights and equality issues;
- Good oral fluency and humor;
- A taste for teamwork;
- Adaptability, dynamism and interpersonal skills;
- Rigor and quality of execution;
- You like to travel and meet all types of people;
- You take initiatives; organizing your schedule and your trips doesn’t scare you;
- We can count on your punctuality during your appointments and trips.
Practical arrangements
Duration of the internship : 6 months
Desired start date: 02/01/2025
Working hours: 35 hours/week.
Internship compensation: in accordance with legal provisions
Others: 50% coverage of the Navigo Pass or sustainable mobility package. Meal vouchers with a face value of €10, 60% of which is paid by the employer, 1 day of rest per month worked, occasional teleworking authorized.
Location : position based in Montreuil (93) with frequent travel in Ile-de-France
