JOB PURPOSE
The IT Business Systems Technical Lead (TL) is responsible for the secure and reliable operation of computer systems, related applications, hardware, and software specifically relating to Business Systems (such as D365, Oracle, Concur and Power BI). This role leads on project technical work including upgrades to current systems, implementations of new systems and introduce system improvements where required. A general willingness to learn new technology, being able to cover a broad range of technologies and business processes.
You will actively monitor and maintain Amnesty’s Business Systems infrastructure both on-prem and cloud based, assuring reliable operation of computers systems, software applications and integrations. Experience in incident and problem management will also be required.
ABOUT YOU
You will be comfortable working alongside stakeholders within the Information and Technology (I&T) team and beyond, with an ability to communicate complex technical issues clearly and concisely. You will be able to define architecture for a system as well as carrying out system configurations, and will have a keen interest in the work of Amnesty and understand the implications of internal I&T services and capability in support of our platform for human rights change and activism across the globe.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
- Delivery of technical activities to support the patching and updates of Applications managed by the IT Business Systems team, with the aim of bringing these capabilities internally within the next 12 months
- Implement, manage and maintain integrations between applications
- Continuous improvement of the reliability, performance, and user experience of I&T services
- Take ownership over technical areas, work with third party services, suppliers and the systems team to provide technical recommendations to senior staff
- Responsive to tickets that are escalated to the IT Business Systems Team and proactive about solving problems
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Sufficient experience working in an IT Systems Administrator role
- Demonstrable experience in Windows environments at an enterprise level – Active Directory, administration, and backup
- Demonstrable experience monitoring and operating enterprise cloud infrastructure – ideally Azure, such as Virtual Machines and Dynamics 365 Environments
- Good knowledge of the following: Windows Active Directory Dynamics 365 Environments and Microsoft Life Cycle Services (LCS)
- Ability to diagnose, identify and troubleshoot technical issues quickly and correctly
- A strong working knowledge of PowerAutomate/PowerApps is essential
