IT Manager (Ukrainian National) At Global Rights Compliance

Global Rights Compliance (GRC) is an international legal foundation focused on bringing perpetrators to justice for atrocity crimes. We have a presence in the Hague, London, Washington, and Kyiv.

GRC work in Ukraine in support of the Office of the Prosecutor General (OPG) through several GRC Mobile Justice Teams (MJTs) who assist the OPG by providing crime scene evidence collection and analysis and real-time advice on investigations and case building. Our headquarters for this project are in Kyiv, Ukraine. GRC’s MJTs operate throughout Ukraine in areas of interest to the OPG.

We are looking for a candidate to join our team as Part-time IT Manager for the Ukraine programs.

DUTY STATION: The job will be based in Ukraine
CONTRACT DURATION: 1 year (part-time job).

OBJECTIVES

The identified figure will be in charge of IT security, managing a secure information database, and supporting the team in optimizing its functionality. In addition, he/she will manage and support the migration of software platforms. The specific tasks are presented below.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Managing, deploying, and maintaining IT security infrastructure
  • Implementing security systems, such as firewalls, data protection controls, and encryption
  • Conducting vulnerability tests and identifying and addressing any weaknesses
  • Monitoring information systems and responding to any cyber-security incidents
  • Automating security controls, data, and processes
  • Developing policy around third-party risk with vendors and suppliers
  • Identifying and managing data privacy risks and compliance requirements
  • Maintaining an up-to-date knowledge of cyber-security technologies and standards
  • Training consultants to understand and follow security measures
  • Manage and oversee program IT security, including protection, and authentication. Identify and mitigate all digital risks
  • Establish and oversee the server infrastructure and networking environment by designing system configurations directing system installation, defining, documenting, and enforcing system standards
  • Examine existing IT systems and business models and make suggestions for improvements
  • Ensuring all staff is following organization information technology policy.

ATTRIBUTES AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree in IT, computer science, or a related field
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in IT management
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Knowledge of industry-standard computer hardware and software systems
  • Familiarity with our software platforms including Microsoft 365
  • Familiarity with Huridocs or Uwazi database
  • Fluent in Ukrainian and English
