IT systems Administrator At SEED Madagascar

About the organisation

SEED Madagascar is a British Charity working in partnership with communities in the south east of Madagascar. We integrate high quality community health, rural livelihoods, education infrastructure and conservation programmes to support long term, sustainable change and add to international best practice through research and publication across all of our programmatic areas.

Position Overview
This position offers a unique opportunity to assume an important role at an award-winning international development charity, shaping and improving IT services throughout the organisation. Working closely with the national IT Officer you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of IT, with a particular focus on cybersecurity.

As our main office is located in Madagascar, access to IT equipment and other supplies is limited, often with a long lead time between purchasing and receiving goods. As a small-medium sized charity, our budget for IT is limited, and the internet connectivity in our Fort Dauphin office also. The ideal candidate needs to be able to work around these limitations, being flexible and able to come up with innovative solutions to problems.

This is a remote working position. Working hours are flexible, estimated at 6 hours per week, but this may vary according to the needs of the organisation and availability of the individual. Due to the nature of Systems Administrator roles, during critical periods or emergency situations, the role may require additional flexibility.
