Médecins Sans Frontières, an international humanitarian medical association created in 1971, provides medical assistance to populations whose lives are threatened: mainly in the event of armed conflicts, but also epidemics, pandemics, natural disasters or even exclusion from care. The French section is present in around thirty countries.
We are looking for a Learning and Development Project Manager on a work-study contract.
Assignment:
Within the Learning and Development department, you will join the Consulting Department which provides technical support to MSF OCP operational missions around the world, on all actions and initiatives which contribute to the professional development of MSF staff (Learning and Development / L&D) .
In this context, you will participate directly in the development of tools and procedures for use by MSF staff and L&D actors to facilitate their professional practice.
You will have the opportunity to contribute to MSF’s thoughts and practices on the professional development of its humanitarian staff.
Main activities :
As a member of the Consulting Department within the Learning and Development department, and with the support of L&D representatives (HR and Operations), you will be in particular responsible for:
Create a set of methodological guides and tools to support L&D teams in the field:
- Collects existing documents and tools on different subjects at the intersection, headquarters and field level
- Identifies good practices to disseminate
- Analyzes the different versions of documents, identifies room for improvement
- Specifies needs at field and headquarters levels
- Participates in the various working groups relating to the creation of these guides and tools
- Develops existing documents and creates missing documents in accordance with the L&D vision and with the support of L&D HR and Ope Referents
Lead a community of practice:
- Prepares L&D community of practice meetings (Tea Times) with participants based on identified topics
- Participate and host Tea Times
- Assistance in preparing for L&D Week or regional L&D workshops
Actively collaborate in L&D communication activities:
- Creates attractive visual supports for use by MSF staff: flyers and other communication tools on L&D, summary posters on the roles and responsibilities of the Manager, mapping of L&D tools, etc.
- Participates in the Newsletter editing committee by:
- Identifying, within the L&D community, good practices to disseminate
- Conducting interviews, writing articles, on various L&D topics
Actively collaborate in the design and deployment of Work Situation Training (FEST) with the pole’s educational engineer and support its deployment in support of the field:
- Bibliographic search
- Participate in training design discussions
- Writes and formats facilitation guides and other training tools
- Creates communication tools
- Supports the deployment of training
Assist the L&D Representatives in the management tasks of the consulting department:
- Participates in various cross-functional projects led by L&D representatives:
- Creating an L&D toolbox
- Induction of MSF staff
- team management
- Onboarding and training of people in charge of L&D in the field
- Companionship
- Etc.
- Participates in division meetings, writes the reports and distributes them
- Participates in monitoring the action plan
- Sets up a data and information feedback system with the field for monitoring the cluster’s indicators
- Other tasks depending on the projects and developments within the team
Profile:
Training:
You hold a bac +3/+4 level diploma and wish to prepare for bac +4/+5 level training. You have a particular taste for team management, human resources management or educational engineering.
Experiences :
You have a strong interest in the humanitarian sector and/or have experience in associations or NGOs. You have advanced experience using the Office Pack, and particularly Word and Excel. You have experience, even amateur, with graphics software (In Design, Photoshop, etc.).
LANGUAGES :
You speak and write French and English fluently – Level B2 minimum.
Status: Work-study contract: professionalization/apprenticeship contract of minimum 6 months. Position based in Paris. Attach school schedules to the application.
Terms :
Remuneration from 43% to 100% of the SMC depending on age and the year of execution of the contract.
A 13th month (in proportion to the time spent in the company).
22 days of RTT/year in proportion to time in the company.
