LEARNING & DEVELOPMENT SPECIALIST At CARE USA

CARE is seeking for Learning & Development Specialist. The Learning & Development specialist designs L&D initiatives to help employees acquire the competencies the organization needs. This involves needs analysis, instructional design, learning delivery, evaluation, project management, and research.

The Learning & Development Specialist provides support and assist in all aspects of the administration of our Learning & Development programs, leading on the design and implementation of new L&D initiatives and
projects as well as helping promote best practice in our policies and processes to encourage focused and effective development for our people.

This is a hands on and dynamic role, which involves coordinating L&D activity across CARE USA.

Responsibilities:

1.Identification of the organization’s L&D needs.

  • Conducts a needs analysis of the organization’s learning needs by consulting organizational leaders and HR, analyzing data, and conducting research.
  • Collaborates with subject-matter experts within the organization as well as vendors to develop L&D initiatives aligned to the organization’s needs.
  • Lead development of end-to-end learning experience spanning entire employee life-cycle, including on boarding, skill development, professional growth
  • Manage eLearning content in LMS.

2.Design and Delivery of L&D Programs.

  • Designs and develops L&D initiatives using a variety of learning methods.
  • Appropriate use of learning methods for L&D programs that will aim to improving knowledge retention and application.
  • Responsible for ensuring Learning initiatives are customized to relevant audiences and organizational needs.
  • Delivers L&D initiatives including facilitation, eLearning or virtual classroom/webinar etc.
  • Ensures L&D initiatives are delivered effectively.

3.Assessment of Learning Impact and Evaluation.

  • Measurement of L&D initiative value, which informs future program development.
  • Evaluates the impact and return on investment of L&D initiatives by tracking learning metrics, and uses data to make the case for additional investments.
  • Continuous improvement of L&D initiatives. Researches new trends and approaches in the learning industry, and serves as a champion for a learning culture in the organization.
  • Continuously evaluates relevance and accuracy of curricula content.

4.Effective And Efficient Project Management and Program Delivery.

  • Manages assigned projects using effective project management techniques, including managing stakeholders, logistics, budget, and administration.
  • Monitor the training calendar for all upcoming training and notify teams in advance of training schedules
  • In liaison with the respective line managers, provide support for onboarding and globalize existing and future L&D programs to office locations and remote employees;
  • Manage the annual L&D Training tracker database.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or college diploma (or equivalent) in Human Resources, Business, Organizational Development, Adult Education, or related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in L&D and/or instructional design.
  • Certification in Training Needs Analysis, Training Facilitation & Instructional Design
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and experience in managing LMS
  • Experience in building and managing eLearning and online training content.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; an articulate communicator including solid presentation skills.
  • Flexible and available to interact with employees at all levels. Proactive in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment.
  • Focused and disciplined. Strong organizational skills, great follow through on tasks, able to juggle multiple competing priorities.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Resourcefulness: Drive discovery and adoption of new content and best practises
  • Organizational skills: Methodical and adhere to timeliness.
  • Multi task: Ability to managing multiple tasks that are at different stages is no problem for you.
  • Computer skills: Comfortable using with Microsoft office, applicant tracking systems, and scheduling software.
  • Collaborative spirit. Actively listens and communicates. Connect easily with diverse teams and gain their trust and respect. Ease at rolling up their sleeves and help others out.
